IMPD investigating fatal crash on east side of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS - At least one person was killed in a crash on the east side of Indianapolis Monday night.




According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 10000 block of East Washington Street around 9:42 p.m. to investigate a personal injury crash. When police arrived at the scene, they confirmed at least one person had died in the crash.




IMPD's fatal crash investigators responded to the scene to examine the crash.




Police expect East Washington Street to be closed in both directions for several hours.
