Put your hands up in the air!!!!!! How many times have you heard that at an event? Does it really need to be said, is the DJ prompting it or is everyone just having such a great time that they're doing just that. When you hire a dj what are your expectations. This is one question that the Dj should be asking you. What type of event do you want. We are all different and want different things, if it's a wedding perhaps you want a more classic elegant affair or maybe an all out club rave type event. The first question we ask any client is what their expectations our from us and what they want for their event. Of course the first response is they want everyone on the dance floor, which in reality is not a reality. They want everyone to have a great time which is more in line to what we are there to do. We take a very realistic approach with all of our clients to let them know exactly what they will be getting from us. WE are not the hype men, we don't get on the microphone 50 times a night to have everyone throw their hands in the air or scream or applaud. They will do that anyway because we are giving them the best music and experience, we are interacting with them and almost never have to prompt them to ooohhh, aaahhh, applaud or react to anything because they are already in the moment. We ask our customers tp provide a request list but also make them aware that not all songs may be played, especially if that request list has 100 songs. We make them aware that depending on the formalities of the evening and how the guests and the dance floor responds to their requests, we may stray from that playlist to get as many people up and dancing. Our goal as with any entertainment company is to make sure that all have a great time. We ask about other options because it's not just about the music, the lighting and sometimes additional services such as photo booths, game systems, slideshows, percussionists and other performers are not things that are thought of and add another level of fun and excitement to the events. The main thing that most of our customers, both past and present, comment about is the communication that is had between us and them. We are always updating and contacting them regarding the planning forms, music requests, any conversations with venues, any ideas or thoughts about how we can improve and make their event unique, different and memorable. For your special event your expectations should be that the professional you hire be available to you to answer questions, be properly insured, be able to provide referrals of past customers, show up to your event with enough time to set up and test all equipment, have back up equipment should anything happen, be professional and pleasant to you and your guests, and most of all be entertaining because that's why you hired them. FMJ Productions main and only goal is to make your dreams and visions become a reality and that's why we put your event as our utmost priority. Whether it's a sweet 16, wedding, backyard event, fundraiser or mitzvah, we treat them all with the same amount of importance and regard and know that it will only be as good as we are. So "Put your hands up in the air and wave them like you just don't care and if you're ready to have a good time everybody say OH YEAH!!!!"
