A Seventh YSL Associate Receives A Plea Deal In The Ongoing RICO Criminal Case (Video)
A seventh person has accepted a plea deal in YSL's RICO criminal case.
On Wednesday, Antonio "Mounk Tounk" Sledge plead guilty to conspiracy to violate the racketeering act and to being a felon in possession of a firearm.
According to the deal, Sledge will be required to testify in any trials stemming from the indictment. Sledge is also giving up his Fifth Amendment right, which means he'll be forced to tell the truth if he's called to testify.
In exchange, prosecutors are dropping Sledge's firearm charge and recommending he remains on probation for 15 years for the racketeering charge.
A prosecutor recently claimed that Sledge had been a YSL associate since 2012. They also said he threatened a rival gang member and participated in a drive-by shooting. In addition, the prosecutor added that Sledge knew that at least one YSL associate murdered Donovan Thomas Jr.
Sledge is the latest YSL associate to receive a plea deal. Last week, Young Thug's brother, Quantavious "Unfoonk" Grier pled guilty and received a mixture of time served and probation.
Earlier this month, famed rapper Gunna also accepted a plea deal that included a five-year sentence. Four years were suspended and his one-year prison sentence was tossed out due to time served. The courts counted the seven months Gunna had already spent in jail and waived the rest.
As a part of the deal, the rapper is required to serve at least 350 hours of community service and is not allowed to have firearms or commit any criminal crimes.
