T.I. Says 2Pac Would Be Deeper Than Rap In '17: "He May Have Gotten Into Politics By Now"
Hustle Gang leader T.I. thinks late hip-hop icon 2Pac might have made a run at politics if he were still alive. The hip-hop veteran recently talked about Makaveli's legacy.
In Tip's opinion, Tupac Shakur represented much more than memorable bars and motivational lyrics.
"I feel like, you know, as a kid, Pac was my favorite rapper since the first time I heard him, and you know, that's the first person I ever, as an artist, hoped to pattern myself after. Anything could have happened with Pac, man. Just his diverse intellect, and the way he thought outside the box could have led him anywhere in life. He may have gotten into politics by now. Who knows?" (The Kansas City Star)
Last week, music mogul Diddy shared a rare pic of himself and Pac.
Earlier this month, a new trailer premiered for upcoming 2Pac biopic All Eyez On Me.
Last month, rap veteran Game co-signed All Eyez On Me star Demetrius Shipp Jr.'s portrayal of the late hip-hop icon.
"To play 2Pac, to do a movie on 2Pac, we as the fan or the consumer or the moviegoer watching it, you looking for any flaw. I'm gonna tell you that homie that did it, is really, he's murking it. Shout-out to Met, Demetrius. He killed it. When the movie first came on, it's not Pac per se, himself. So you're a little critical. You're like, 'Let me see.' And I'm talking about 10 minutes in, it switch. Then by the time the movie ends, you forgot you weren't watching Pac. That's how much he dug into that role. They did a really good job with that movie."
