It's Time For J'sFitTip Of The Week. Here's week 3 of my intro to my 4 week Alkaline Diet Program.

During week one I explained what a alkaline diet was, and also gave you a few healthy food options. During week 2 we talked about your body's pH scale. It's now week 3.. Let's talk about how Science Agrees!

The National Institutes of Health took a comprehensive look at the benefits of an alkaline diet and came up with four distinct benefits that you can have just from eating a little better. And Here they are!

This is #JustATouchof_J .. I'm just tryna put it out there in pieces for you baby!

Increased fruits and vegetables in an alkaline diet benefit bone health, reduce muscle wasting, and mitigate other chronic diseases such as hypertension and strokes.

The resultant increase in growth hormone with an alkaline diet may improve many outcomes from cardiovascular health to memory and cognition.

An increase in intracellular magnesium, which is required for the function of many enzyme systems, is another added benefit of the alkaline diet.

Available magnesium, which is required to activate vitamin D, would result in numerous added benefits in general health as well as specific bodily functions, like those of the endocrine system.

Alkalinity may result in added benefit for some chemotherapeutic agents that require a higher pH - that means chemo works better and can be less harmful, all thanks to eating better.
