FUNK FLEX PICKS CLEAR WINNER IN KENDRICK LAMAR & DRAKE BEEF: 'HE WASTED NO BARS'

Funkmaster Flex has picked a winner in the rap feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake.

The legendary New York DJ appeared on Hot 97 to talk to Ebro Darden and surprisingly threw his weight behind the 6 God, despite their past issues.

"Drake is by far the winner for me. By far," Flex declared.

"That return shot was super," he added, referencing Drake's "Push Ups" diss song. "Listen, he wasted no bars in there, he wasted no time [...] It's an amazing comeback, it's an amazing return."

[Ed. Note: Flex's comments were made before the release of Kendrick's second Drake diss song "6:16 in LA."]

Flex's view echoes that of fellow New Yorkers Cam'ron and Ma$e who have also backed Drake in the beef.

The Harlem rappers turned sports personalities shared their thoughts on Kendrick's recent diss record "Euphoria" on the their show It Is What It Is, with both men claiming that Drizzy was winning the battle.

"Drake is definitely winning from an MC standpoint," Ma$e said, praising the Toronto native's own recent diss songs "Push Ups" and "Taylor Made Freestyle," despite the latter being taken down due to legal threats from 2Pac's estate over its use of AI voice technology.

"It took a while for us to get the record from Kendrick and when you wait a while it gotta be outta this world. I think if Kendrick dropped this record right after '[Push Ups] Drop and Give Me 50,' it would have been crazy."

Killa Cam added: "I think Drake is winning. 'Euphoria' didn't really move me. I'm expecting lyrics from Kendrick, you're expecting certain things. The song was kinda long, it took too long to come out - pause. I'm not saying it's bad."

His co-host interjected: "It was a good record [but] we didn't wait a while for a good record [...] It's like when you did 'Curtis' [Cam'ron's 50 Cent diss song], it's a certain thing you gotta have in the record that Kendrick doesn't have in his record.

"You gotta say something that make n-ggas look at the n-gga different. And when he did the, 'I don't want to hear you say n-gga,' that was an angle that we already heard before."

Drake has yet to officially respond to "Euphoria" and "6:16 in LA," but has teased that he has a rebuttal on the way outside of social media trolling.
