Joey Bada$$ Defends Working W/ Chris Brown On His Latest Album After Facing Backlash For Singer's Violent Past: Which One Of You Guys Are Perfect?
Entertainer Chris Brown is still paying for his actions from over a decade ago, and his collaborator Joey Bada$$ recently came to his defense.
During a recent Reddit AMA session on r/HipHopHeads, rapper Joey Bada$$ was asked by a social media user why he collaborated with singer-songwriter Chris Brown on the song "Welcome Back" from his new album, "2000."
Joey Bada$$, 27, was quick to defend his decision and appears to have no problem taking a hit right beside his friend. Born Jo-Vaughn Virginie Scott, Joey replied and said:
"Chris Brown is one of the most talented artist musicians of all time are you kidding me. It was an honor that he was even so willing to be a part of my album. He's also a friend of mine. I get it, you guys may not think he's perfect or cool because of things he's done in his past, but which one of you guys are perfect?"
As a response, the "Raising Kanan" actor's reply was hit with many downvotes by the community on his Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything). Some users took to the comments and referenced Chris Brown's violent past with ex-girlfriend Rihanna, 34. One user commented:
"Bruh I'm not perfect but I sure as hell don't beat women"
As you may already know, on February 8, 2009, Chris, 33, left musical artist/his then-girlfriend Rihanna with obvious face injuries that necessitated hospitalization after the two got into an argument in his car. Although the famed couple never rekindled their relationship, they have both since moved on.

As previously reported, Chris opened up about celebrities who won't work with him and artists not getting back to him for collaborations because of his controversial past. While Chris is considered one of the most successful R&B singers of his generation, he admitted to still receiving "Nos" this far in his career. The "Go Crazy" singer said:
"Because of my success right, and I've been able to sustain that and have an amazing fan base, people don't get to see the 'Nos' that I get."
"But then it's like, I don't try to put that in the front of my mind or the back of my mind, I just go through it. Because at the end of the day, as long as I'm able to do what I'm doing, it's music and being able to inspire people, I be like 'cool, it's all good. They'll see.'"
