Usher Takes The Super Bowl Halftime Performance Stage

Looks like R&B super star Usher's highly anticipated halftime performance (did not leave social media users disappointed! / or seems to have left many wanting more.)

Internet users flocked to social media platforms to watch the show together, and shared their thoughts on whether or not the act lived up to the hype.

As we've been covering since it was announced that Usher Raymond, 45, would be this years halftime headliner, many speculations about set list and special guests were floating around the internet. The artist himself has opened up about how he's been preparing for the big performance and shared a little about the songs he's chosen during a recent interview.

Ahead of the big show, rumors began circulating that songstress Alicia Keys was spotted at rehearsals. Many were hopeful to get a rendition of the musician's iconic collab "My Boo" which was released in 2004 (and were not disappointed when Keys took the stage/or - though unfortunately, the reunion didn't happen, leaving many disappointed).

It was also speculated that Lil Jon and Ludacris just might appear as special guests. If you recall, Usher also released his chart topping hit "Yeah!" back in 2004, which the two rappers are featured on. While it was unconfirmed whether or not either would take the stage with Usher, Ludacris did appear in a commercial for the performance. (Fans were super excited when the song began and reunited the trio once again or /unfortunately, fans were let down when they realized the two would not be joining the singer for this performance).

Overall, (the it seems many felt the show lived up to expectations /or - it seems many were let down or/ it seems there were mixed reactions to the show). Social media users took the comments section to share their (positive, negative, or mixed opinions) to the performance, which appeared to be a general consensus across the net.
