DMX has been very open about his struggles with drug/alcohol abuse throughout the years. He most recently went to rehab in 2019.
On Sunday (Apr.4) DMX's attorney Murry Richam told Yahoo News,
"I have no such knowledge"
of DMX being removed from life support and breathing on his own. Richman first confirmed to Pix11 that the rapper had suffered a heart attack and has
"been taken off life support system and is breathing on his own."
"It would be disingenuous of me to suggest that I am not a worried man."
But speaking to Rolling Stone later that evening, he says he was "given wrong information" and said that the rapper remains on life support.
