POEM: Praise (by Darrell Herbert)

POEM: Praise (by Darrell Herbert)

Praise was hard for me to takeAnd I didn't know how to handle itI didn't know what falling in love was because I never experienced itI didn't feel worthy because I was rejectedI've envied people who are blissfully happy
Just know I paint my sinWith several vitaminsEleven sentimentsCoupled with Vicodins Percocet, mixed with insecurities and Zamicet
I'm not to be understoodFor the great or good, I am no goodPain's un pleasurableInsecurities unbearableHysteria, so hystericalMiracle worker quitting on a miracleHeaven is not somewhere I'll goIt's who we areOf not knowing the soulHell if I know
