Ty Juan inks deal with TopNotch Music (InGroove / Universal)

Former artist to Illustra Records, Ty Juan just inked a distribution deal with Top Notch Music (Ingroove/Universal), this week. "I'm really excited to take my music to the next level. (And) I want to thank everyone on the Top Notch Music team for giving me the chance and the opportunity."

Ty Juan won the award for "Most Promising Male Singer" for the Underground Music Award. Ty Juan 's song "Til I found You" has been added to rotation on The Steve Harvey Morning Show and Jamie Foxx's Foxxhole Radio Show. Ty Juan's music is taking the world by storm and his recent interviews on the FoxxHole Radio show, The DJ Mel Show, Tropical FM and DJ Lady Love Show in UK, prove this New Jersey born native , is vastly on the rise. Be on the lookout for the new and improved smooth vocalist Ty Juan. In 2014 Ty Juan's "No Regrets" (March 2014) Release on Illustra Records, and he released a few Mixtapes " Autotune Lovechild" and "Lovechild" which captured the ears of fans all over the world. Ty is currently writing and producing on the upcoming Public Announcement project as well as Fel Davis and a few others.

Ty Juan began singing at age 5. His family quickly took notice to his talent and love for music and began letting him participate in school plays and also sing in the youth choir at church. Influenced by some of the greats like Stevie Wonder, Lionel Ritchie, New Edition, all the way up to artists such as, Boyz II Men, Silk, Shai, R Kelly, and Dave Hollister.

Ty Juan started a group called Something Smooth in 1997 and Interlude in 2000. With both groups, Ty Juan has collectively performed with some of the industries top artist at the time such as Xscape, H-Town, 69 Boyz, Ideal, Zapp and the immortal Roger Troutman. While with Interlude, Ty Juan met Mr. Ken James of MCA/Universal Records, who was blown away by Ty's writing ability. It was here that Ty and the members of Interlude agreed to sign the label's contract. Interlude opened up for Dave Hollister, Kelly Price,Jagged Edge, Ludacris, 504 Boyz, and Kandi Burress from the group Xscape.

Ty Juan later started his solo career, and began writing again. He worked on some songs with Reggie Howell and began to record in Birmingham, Alabama. Ty moved to Newark ,New Jersey, and began working with a new array of producers such as Star, The Beat Shop, Reggie Howell, and Sekuleo Gathers. He performed in the New York circuit catching the eyes and ears of Jesse Jess and Mr. Raw of Urban Threshold.

With his love for music and a passion to succeed, he's an act that's going to grow to become legendary.

Chazzam Brings Down the House at the iStandard Producers Competition

iStandard Producer stops by CenterStage - Vinyl in Atlanta, GA where twenty-five (25) hopefuls battle it out to compete for the top spot! Chazzam hits the stage at with super producers Neddlz, Dion Piom and friends. Chazzam's first track "We Come to Party", a west coast old school funk instrumental hits the atmosphere and the crowd goes wild. Even the judges get up to join the fun. "Those vocals!" shouts a panelist as "Ride of Your Life" blasts through the speakers. After much discussion, Fade Majah, a producer from Atlanta, GA takes the win, and Chazzam comes in at second place. Judges calls Chazzam back to the stage proclaiming, "I hope you're not sitting waiting for a deal, man. You need to package that up! Lots of producers should strive to be like this....there's levels to this man." The crowd goes wild. "Patience plus time equals your best. Those are the words that I live by," states Chazzam. "You know I've been doing music for a long time."

"Chazzam" Tolbert was born April 30, 1982 in Newport News, VA and raised in the city of New York, NY. He first exposed his gift in music at the tender age of 4. Growing up he wanted to follow in the footsteps of his musically gifted family and often says his most influential inspiration is his father, Richard Tolbert, Sr., a very powerful pianist. The Jackson 5, Patti Labelle, Brian McKnight, Silk, Luther Vandross, and DeBarge are on his top ten list of industry greats. Chazaray has gained an even deeper love and knowledge for music. He produced for artists with QueenCity Productions (Charlotte, NC), served as President and recording artist for 4 DA FAM Entertertainment (Macon, GA), and began HamTrackz Productions. His credits include "Truth is..." (Tia Michelle) and "Johnny Bootlegger: School of Maconga" (JaLon Blac)..." "With faith and belief in God, I believe there is nothing I cannot accomplish."
