When Your Friend is in a Bad Relationship

When Your Friend is in a Bad Relationship

Ugh this is always a difficult topic to talk about because it's like what do you do when your friend is in a toxic relationship? Do you voice your opinion? Do you keep quiet? Do you let them learn on their own? Do you tell them "I told you so?" What to do?

Do you bee honest with your friend and let them know the truth about their partner or let them just learn on their own? If you are the single friend does it come off as jealousy when you voice your opinion. There are so many things that can go wrong in situations like this.

I'm the single friend so I always try to tell my friends not to ask me for advice, just let me bee the listening ear you need. However, I've seen friends argue back and forth even saw a friend and her boyfriend get into a fight. And that's where I definitely had to step in as a friend.

I try my best to stay out of people's relationships because I feel that you can't tell people who to love. You can't control that feeling. You don't know how two people interact with each other when you aren't there. And it's always hard to give advice to people who aren't going to listen to you.

Majority of the time when our friends vent to us it's about a negative thing that their partner did to them. So I always try to ask my friend the positive thing they learned from the relationship or the argument that happened.

One of my friends was in a really toxic relationship to the point where I had to say like "hey, I don't want to talk about your problems anymore and this relationship."

I think honesty, empathy and sympathy is really important in situations like this

What Does This Relationship Do For Me?

What Does This Relationship Do For Me?

In any type of relationship or friendship, you have to think about "what does this person do for me?" Are they making me happy, inspired, sad, stressed, overwhelmed Etc. You have to figure out what qualities of your character are these people bringing out & if it's worth fighting for.

You can go day by day not truly being happy and complain about it or you can do something about it. However, you control your emotions and you control how people treat you.
You are responsible for who comes in and out of your life and how they treat you.

I read a book called 'No Excuses' by Brian Tracy, and the book really indicates self-discipline and taking full responsibilities for your actions. I love that the author stresses that you are responsible for your life and no one else.

Take a moment and really evaluate what characteristics certain people bring out of you.

Apps Every Blogger Should Have

Apps Every Blogger Should Have

Do I even have enough iPhone storage? Haha! I love social media and if you are reading this post you do too! However, there are tons of social media apps that can save your life and time while being a blogger. Here are some of my favorites!

Grammarly
This plugin is great for bloggers because it's an advanced spell check while writing. I'm not the most grammatically correct person in the world, but this plug-in has definitely changed my life. Shoutouts to my old boss Gerald for also being my second-hand grammar guy to help some of my blogs flow better.

IFTTT
I mentioned this app in my last post because I love it. It literally posts everything for you! It's a genius app.

InstaBeauty
This app is a great free app for making your selfies look flawless.

WordPress
You as a blogger should always have access to your blog just in case you have to make quick changes.

Google Photos
I love this app but always delete it because I never have enough storage...haha!

Pexels
Great site for free stock images.

Why You Should Keep Silent About Your Projects?

Why You Should Keep Silent About Your Projects?

Everything doesn't need to bee broadcast! I've learned over this past year that just because you aren't posting everything in your life doesn't mean you aren't working. People sometimes can bee very nosey and want to know every project you are working on. The reality is a lot of people don't want to see you doing good.

I've learned while attending tons of networking events people want to know what you are working on and some people even look down on you if what you are working on isn't exciting. Something I've also learned while being in the film industry a lot of projects doesn't always go through. For example, I was working on a Vh1 gig and the show never got picked up. I was really sad and was even embarrassed because people were expecting a show to bee on but it never went through. So I've learned in the film industry to just wait until the shit is out to post it!

Also, a lot of people are jealous and have negative energy. People get envious and then try to copy what you do. You don't know how many times I've seen some of my followers ask me for advice and then steal my work ideas or blog posts ideas. In life, people can try to duplicate you but will never succeed because they aren't you. So just learn how to keep your mouth shut and tell important information to people you trust.
