YEAH I SAID IT....MAR 6 2016

YEAH I SAID IT.... Welcome to Reggie Gay's world. I love it. I'm always busyaccomplishing and broadcasting of course. It's what I do. Thanks God! I go fromglory to glory daily. Literally! I trust God; when the window closes God opensa door. Call me the Energizer Bunny. I just keep going and going. And it's ALLby the grace of God. What are you doing? Hope you're not WASTING time like a lotof folk do. Talk is still cheap. Actions still speak louder than words. ALWAYS!Stop talking about it and get busy vigorously going after your aspirations. Anythingin life worth having is worth working for. Stop floating all over the place. You're doing too much; perhaps that's the reason you're not as successful. Getanchored. Pick ONE thing and stick with it. My Daddy said that to me when I wasgrowing up. Glad he did. Guess that's why I'm a successful broadcaster. Pickone thing. Work on it a little bit every day and before you know it you'll havereached your goal. Just remember, it's all by the grace of God.It's election season. Yeah. 2016 Super Tuesday primaries areover and the pack of 3000 people running for U. S. President has been whittleddown to the hand-full that can afford to keep "paying the bill".  Yeah I said it. You have to PAY tobe President of the United States. You didn't know? That's crazy! Pay toinherit ALL the world's problems.  WhenPresident Obama went into office in 2009 his hair was dark brown. It's nowsilver and most likely from the stress that goes with the job. He, Michelle, the girls and Mama Robinson (Michelle's mother) I'm sure will be glad to "getthe hell out of dodge" and back to a somewhat reasonable life without all thehassles.  God bless them for theirservice to our country. Two thumbs up to the qualifiedcandidates who tried to campaign based on real issues. Unfortunately, they'reall gone. It's nothing but a "slug fest" now and the last one standingwins.  Are you listening to what they'resaying on the nightly debates? Nothing but a big reality TV shows for ratingsfor advertisers who can write gigantic checks to advertise and convince peopleto buy stuff they probably couldn't afford in the first place and that depreciatesridiculously the minute they sign on the dotted line. It's capitalism at itsbest. Nobody's talking about real American issues like how everybody can get anaffordable education, decent housing, jobs that pay more than minimum wage andaccess to the same kind of money for EVERYBODY. There's nothing going on nowbut rhetoric, name calling, finger pointing, slander and who can concoct thebest back room deal to run the mostpowerful nation in the world. Typical good ole' American politics that havemade voters numb to the notion that people really do still hold the power tochange. Can you imagine if the sleeping giant were to "wake-up"? Hell I'd beglad just to see it "yawn" and remind Washington who really has "the power". Ohwell! That'll never happen. Con artist all over D. C. selling the same "bullshiggidy" they've been selling for years. The sad part is people keep believingit [especially during Presidential election cycles] and get disappointed everytime.I heard somebody say one time "get it in writing". Yeah. That's it! Get it in writing and make them sign it with their own blood. I meanit. You want my vote? Then make ALL the promises you want but sign here. And ifyo ass (Yeah I said it) don't keep your word and make it happen (in areasonable amount of time) here's what's going to happen to you.  When I was living with my parents they wereclear what the consequences would be if I broke the rules. It's definitely timefor American voters to be clear too. Actually, I think it's absurd that you have to raise andspend MILLONS of dollars for a job that pays $400,000.00 and carries the weightof the whole freaking planet. Call it "power" I guess. It's the ultimateaphrodisiac; like a drug and very addictive. The more power you get the moreyou want. It's pitiful; really all about who's in control of the American checkbook. Yeah I said it. I don't think the folk left running for U. S. President aretruly concerned about the real welfare of Americans in as much as they justwant the power that comes with the territory. WAKE UP PEOPLE! Listen to whatthey're saying and then measure their track records. All these folk are talkingbut I don't see anybody showing us a plan. In fact, the last Presidentialcandidate I saw on television with a tangible plan was Ross Perot. Remember himfrom the 1980's? He showed us what he would do "in writing" if he got elected. Ohwell! My Mama often says "too much like right"; probably why he didn't have asnow ball's chance in hell of becoming President of these great United States. I'mhearing lots of promises but when I look around (especially in my 'hood) nothing'schanged. NOTHING! But most keep believing. People are so gullible. Will we everlearn? I'd say probably not. I think you've got to be a lunatic to want to be President of the United States or any kind ofpolitician for that matter. Had a couple people to suggest I run for local office. Honestly, I thought aboutit momentarily and then "thank God" I came to my senses (borrowed a line fromSophia in the movie "The Color Purple) and said "HELL NAW". I'm a gospel DJ andI intend to "Stay in My Lane". With that said...I've got a question for you? Why is it thatwe ONLY hear from some (local, state and certainly national lie-uh-ti-cians (Imean politicians) during election season? Grinning in our faces and somewilling to say and/or do whatever is necessary to get "elected". I'm sick ofit; especially in the African-American community. When will we ever learn tomake them put their promises in writing and sign it with their real blood?  The Republican Party is on the skids; I wouldbe surprised if they're still around in 20 years. America has changed rightunder their noses but they're still doing "business as usual". And because ofthe buffoonery going on in the Republican Party I predict Hillary is going toride into the White House on the pivotal "black vote". She beat the hell out ofBernie in the primaries in the South. He didn't even bother to show up in mostSouthern states. He's been working the North end. Huh! Isn't that an oxymoron?North end still runs things but Hillary wins the White House based on votesfrom black folk predominantly in the South with its subtle racism. Wait. Racismis in black communities all across America. Have you looked around "the hood" lately? Nothing's changed since Dr.King led the Civil Rights Movement. The man's been dead since 1968. Actually, Ithink Dr. King would be very disappointed at the lack of progress we've made inthe black community since he was murdered. Blighted, dirty neighborhoods, poor(if any) retail selections. It's true. African-American communities don't haveaccess to the same kind of MONEY necessary to upgrade and see real change. I'mnot even confident things will be any better after Hillary serves her twoterms. Yeah I said it...again. And with all that she's said in the pastfew days [about what she'll do in office] have any black leaders been shrewdenough to make her put it in writing? Nope. And if they have I've not heardabout it. Have you? When will we stop permitting "lie-uh-ti-cians" to pimp ourvote; make them put their "campaign promises" in writing? God knows we've paidthe right to passage but have in no way collected what's truly owed. And another thing all these DAMN black talking heads on TVgiving their assessments (babble babble...blah blah blah) is annoying to me. Shutup! Yeah I Said It. I'm sick of themtoo. Half of them need to be on television like they need a "hole" in theirhead. GO get a real job and help make real changes. Where's my dang remoteanyway? I'm changing the channel back over to "The Beverly Hillbillies". God help us all. Thank goodness he's the one really incontrol. If it weren't for the Lord on our side...right? Wake UP folks!  It's time to make some REAL legitimatedemands and get it in writing before we go to the polls in November and electsomebody who will probably get a convenient case of amnesia as to who reallyput them in the White House.  Did you see the movie "Selma"? Great flick! The moviedepicted Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. constantly insisting to then PresidentLyndon Johnson "Change NOW Mr. President. We can't wait any longer."  Andalthough Johnson gave 102 reasons as to why he couldn't act immediately theykept reminding him of his moral responsibility to ALL Americans. That'sprobably "pie in the sky" these days and a totally disillusioned perspective.Oh well (singing now) "Back to life...back to reality".  Yeah I Said It!You take care; make good choicesbased on knowledge and thanks for visiting Reggie Gay's world.

YEAH I SAID IT....AUG 23 2016

YEAH I SAID IT....AUG 23 2016

YEAH I SAID IT....Black Lives Matter...blah...blah...blah...that motto will takeaffect when the folk shouting it "loudest" start loving themselves. For thepast few months I've been watching a bunch of apparently broken and hurtingpeople marching streets and shutting down interstates; for WHAT? Will it do anygood? I'd say "probably NOT". The police have been killin' niggers in Americafor years. When the national media made "shooting black people in America"front page news then here comes the marchers and "talking heads" with theirtheories. SHUT UP! Make me sick with all the talk, talk...talk and as usual NOACTION.  Where's the plan for action people? IF we really want change inAmerica we need a plan to prevent repeating debacle. Keep doing the same thingyou'll get the SAME results...right? That's what I see happening in America. Sameole' crap just a different day and year. Folk having "round table" discussionson radio and TV but the ISSUES still persist. As I see it until we make EDUCATION for everybody in Americaa number 1 priority things AIN'T going to get any better. We keep puttingband-aides on wounds that require MAJOR surgery.  There's absolutely NO EXCUSE for peopleliving in the United States of America (the richest, most powerful andresourceful country on the planet) to live in sub-standard housing, go hungryor be broke. Not in America! But you and I know it happens every day andespecially in the African-American community. So, until I see the plan for ACTION in "writing" I probablywon't take anything they seriously. In the meantime, I'm going to provideleadership for my family and hope the folk that family me in my bloodline won'thave to endure the crap black deal with today in America.Yeah I Said It! You take care; remember you make good choices based on knowledge and thanks for visiting ReggieGay's world.

Never mind thefact that real people have real issues all over America and desperately needhelp.  I predict the "Hillary and Donald"reality TV show will probably spend 80% of the time bashing each other, attacking each other''s character and not nearly enough time talking about thereal issues and solutions.  Is there anywonder people have become so distrustingof the political system? It''ll be nothing but a big ratings bonanza foradvertisers who can write gigantic checks to sell people more stuff theyprobably couldn't afford in the first place and that depreciates ridiculouslythe minute they sign on the dotted line. Guys like Lyndon Johnson, Martin Luther King, John Kennedy, MalcolmX; Teddy Roosevelt. Those leaders had back bone, fortitude, courage &fought for revolutionary change.  I can''tnecessarily speak for other communities but I can assess the African-Americancommunity. Sadly, nothing much has changed since Dr. King led the Civil RightsMovement. The man''s been dead since 1968. That''s a long time; same problemsthat existed then exist today.
