INDIANAPOLIS - Two people were injured in a shooting on the near east side of Indianapolis Monday afternoon.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that its officers received a report that indicated two people with gunshot wounds walked in IU Methodist Hospital sometime before 3:20 p.m. When police went to the facility to investigate the report, they located that two people who had been hospitalized with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.
IMPD reported that both shooting victims are currently in stable condition.
Police believe the shooting occurred in the 1000 block of Hosbrook Street, which is located just off of Virginia Avenue near Intestates 65 and 70.
It is unclear if police have identified or detained any suspects or persons of interest at this point in their investigation of the shooting. As of this article's publication, no additional information on the shooting or the circumstances that led to it had been made available.
