Cardi B is supporting New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani's initiative to provide free childcare for the city's two-year-olds. The Bronx native agreed to help judge a competition for jingles that will be used in commercials for the 2-K childcare program. In a video posted Friday, Cardi B emphasized the importance of childcare access, stating "Sometimes us women, we can't really go forward because we don't have nobody to help us take care of our kids." Mamdani said "With universal childcare, New Yorkers won't have to" choose between affordable care and staying in the city. The program will launch in the Bronx. This is just the latest political project for Cardi B, who previously supported Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden and has spoken out about inflation and other social issues.
