YEAT PROMISES A YEAR'S WORTH OF MUSIC BEFORE FOCUSING ON 'LIFE CHANGING' WORK

Yeat has made it clear that he doesn't plan on doing music forever - but he's still going out in a blaze of glory.

The Portland native took to his Instagram stories on Thursday (February 22) to reveal that he's got quite a bit of music for his devoted fans to enjoy - but also made it clear that the party isn't going to last forever.

"Imma give yall a year of music then Imma tuck away and work on something life changing, ok," he wrote.

He didn't specify, however, what that "life changing" thing will be.

Fans, however, can rest easy knowing that the first of Yeat's new music is already out and features contributions from Hip Hop icons like Future and Lil Wayne.

The Portland-born artist dropped the album 2093 - which he has been teasing for quite some time - on February 16.

Over three months ago, he hinted at the follow-up to 2023's Aft rlyfe by editing a caption on an Instagram post to read: ".....#2093...??????#ceo....."

Yeat has been promoting the upcoming album by projecting videos that offer a "better life" at iconic locations including The Arc de Triomphe in Paris. Last week, he promoted the album with a crop circle outside of Kansas City, Missouri. Now, the album is finally out and you can stream it below.

Though Weezy and Future Hendrix are the only artists featured on 2093, Yeat has recently been in the studio with a number of other rap luminaries.

At the end of last month, the "My wrist" rapper posted a carousel of images, one of which featured him in the studio with Childish Gambino and another included a FaceTime screenshot with "IDGAF" collaboratorDrake.

"2093ISCOMING....... 2.??.24," he captioned the carousel.

2093 continues Yeat's trend of including very few collaborators on his albums. On Aft rlyfe, the only guest features include Yeat's alter egos Kranky Kranky and Luh Geeky and NBA YoungBoy.

Yeat was recently profiled in the Winter 2023/2024 issue of 032c magazine, opening up in a feature appropriately called "American Truths." In one quote, the music maker shared that he's not the biggest fan of words.

"I think I can communicate better with numbers than letters sometimes," he shared. "I mean, on certain days there are no words for me at all. [...] For example, I don't send addresses, I just send coordinates. I can just look at the numbers and know where it is, based on the equator."
