Previously, Kyrie Irving was in the news after he was fined $50,000 for violating the NBA's health and safety protocols related to COVID-19. As a result, he was given a five-day quarantine. Irving reportedly forfeited over $400,000 in salary per game due to games he missed during the quarantine. While that news wasn't appealing to his team or fans, Irving has kept on with more positive endeavors.
Recently, former NBA player and close friend to George Floyd- Stephen Jackson revealed that Kyrie Irving bought a house for the family of George Floyd.
While on 'The Rematch' podcast, Jackson spoke on how he's been helping out Floyd's family, saying, "I'm just continuing to do what I said I was going to do; I said I was going to be my brother's keeper and take care of his daughter and make sure that her next days are her best days. A lot of my friends [have helped]. Kyrie Irving bought them a house. Lil Wayne's manager bought them a Mercedes Benz."
