Nas Calls On Kendrick Lamar For A Future Collaboration

Nas brought up Kendrick Lamar and a potential collaboration during a new interview, saying he's ready whenever the vibe is right.

He shared his admiration for Kendrick Lamar during a sit-down with Complex published Wednesday (October 15), opening the door to a collab.




"Oh man, you know, it's just all about the artist. When you get the chance to record and work together, it, to me, it should feel like really natural and, you know that would be great," Nas said.




"I'd love to work with him, but I feel like it just has to be smooth the way it connects, you know, 'cuz it just got to be fire," he added. "Anything I do with anybody, especially someone like him, I just want to take my time with."




The Queensbridge legend then extended an open invitation: "So, we'll see. Hopefully, you'd be so kind to do a song with your brother, man."




He didn't stop there. Nas sent a message to the entire rap community: "All you MCs out there, man, give me a call, man. Got some verses here and there."

Nas Hails Kendrick Lamar As "The One"

This isn't the first time Nas has praised Kendrick. In a recent interview, he called the Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper Hip-Hop's "North Star," calling him "one of the top-tier lyricists and creators in the game," adding, "he's the one."




Nas' respect for Kendrick runs deep, and the feeling is mutual. Kendrick has cited Nas as a significant influence on his own work.




While fans continue to hope for a joint track, Nas has been busy behind the scenes. He's gearing up to release a new project with DJ Premier under the Mass Appeal Legend Has It series.




The upcoming album, entirely produced by Premier, is expected to drop in December and feature some of Hip-Hop's most respected voices.




As for a Kendrick collaboration? It's not on the calendar yet, but Nas made it clear - the door is wide open.
