YSL Lawyer Indicted For Participating In Street Gangs, Trafficking Meth & More

Nicole Fegan, an Atlanta criminal defense attorney who represented a YSL defendant in the high-profile gang and racketeering case, was indicted Monday (July 21) in Fulton County on charges including drug trafficking and gang activity tied to her conduct during the trial.

Prosecutors allege Fegan used her role as legal counsel to aid criminal operations, including smuggling methamphetamine, oxycodone and marijuana to her incarcerated client, Tenquarius Mender, who is also charged in the indictment.

Fegan is also accused of working with one of Mender's associates to deliver drugs and allegedly gave Mender Apple AirPods while he was in custody.

The indictment, announced July 21, claims Fegan tipped off a fugitive about key evidence, encouraged a gang member to destroy a phone and tried to obstruct a separate murder investigation by instructing a suspect to get rid of his cellphone.

Fegan, who founded Fegan Law, LLC, was arrested in February 2024 in connection with the fatal shooting case and released on a $40,000 bond.

The charges stem from incidents that allegedly occurred more than two years ago during the YSL trial, which centered on rapper Young Thug.

Her high-powered attorney, Drew Findling, issued a strong response to the indictment.

"This indictment is a travesty. Nicole Fegan is a fierce trial attorney and well-respected amongst her peers. These charges stem from activities alleged to have occurred 2 and a half years ago during the YSL trial for which Ms. Fegan was a zealous advocate for her client, no more. We look forward to fighting these false allegations," Findling said in a statement.

Fegan has no prior disciplinary record with the State Bar of Georgia and remains in good standing as of July 2025.

The list of charges against Fegan includes trafficking methamphetamine, possession of a Schedule II drug with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana under one ounce, participation in criminal street gang activity, violating Georgia's Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act, and criminal solicitation to tamper with evidence.
