It's #JustATouchof_J 's Inspirational Tuesday. Be Like Gideon!

Did you miss my #JustATouchof_J 's Inspirational Tuesday on my JustATouchofJ Mobile App, Instagrams, Facebooks, Tumblr, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, Reddit, LinkedIn, and Blackvibes.com, just to name a few? ;)

This week it's all about Gideon! While setting up my Mobile App / Blog post for this week, when I got to my Inspirational Tuesday post.. I heard God say Gideon! I must admit I didn't know too much about his story so I figured I should read into it. So I went to my bible. When reading the story of Gideon I discovered that God trusted him and gave him instructions of leadership.

See, Gideon was known as the greatest judge of Israel. But.. you might be surprised when they dive into the narrative of his story and find out that he's a timid ruler. In fact, when we first meet him, he's hiding from the enemies on a threshing floor... threshing wheat! You would normally thresh wheat in a field but Gideon was afraid because of the constant turmoil caused by the Midianites. Aka the bad people!

Then one day Gideon receives a call from God to take on the Midianites. Aka again.. "The bad people. When Gideon hears he will save the Israelite people from his oppressors, he doesn't really believe it at first! So God sends an Angel! The Angel of the Lord appears to Gideon and says, "Mighty warrior, the Lord is with you!"

But because Gideon doesn't believe he can do it he tests God a few times about the task. So God then tests him because of his lack of faith and decreased his army size for battle from 32,000 to 300.

Yes 300!

This shows you that you can go into hiding and disbelief just because what God tells you to do seems impossible. Also that God still wants to use you even if you're afraid! He knows who you're even when you don't believe in yourself. And He will send words of faith to you to trust him in spite of how your current situation looks.

Now.. here's the lesson! God wants us to trust him when we have little to fight big things! We must remember that at the end of the day, the battles His.

We also have to learn that God can work through any of us. Even timid believers of faith. A leader doesn't always mean the boldest and most extroverted. God often works through believers even when we're hiding from what scares us the most!

Point blank period! He never leaves us or forsake us.

Did Gideon and his army of 300 win the battle? Yes!
Gideon had to remember how God saw him as a "Mighty warrior!"

The moral of the story is God see's us differently then we see ourselves so we must walk boldly into scary circumstances with that truth!

We must be inspired to be like Gideon!

This is #JustATouchof_J .. Everything else is God. I'm just tryna put it all out there in pieces for you baby.
