Twin Citian: Garry George "Jellybean" Johnson

Dude can shred-but he began as a drummer for the seminal Minneapolis funk band Flyte Tyme (alongside Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis). Morris Day originally recruited him into The Time, and of all the musicians that Purple Rain turned into local legends, Johnson has remained the most authentically local. You can still see him shred on any given night. He walks back in time to 1984.
