Duane "Keffe D" Davis, a key figure in the investigation into Tupac Shakur's 1996 murder, was sentenced to 16 to 40 months in prison after getting into a fight in jail.

This happened while he was waiting for his trial on the murder charge. On September 2, 2025, a Nevada judge, Nadia Krall, handed down the sentence after Davis was found guilty of fighting with another inmate at the Clark County Detention Center. A video showed the two men grappling for about 30 seconds before officers stepped in.... Read more

Kelly Price had some harsh words for the Black women who she says "trolled" her appearance in her comments on social media. What could have been an opportunity to address internet trolling with grace quickly turned into a scathing attack on the very community that has supported her career for decades.
Earlier this week, the R&B Diva took to Instagram Live with a scathing message aimed at trolls who she says have been "nasty and disrespectful" about her looks, starting with the men, saying:

"Any man who feels the right to disrespect a woman who has never done anything to them... you're a bi**h.... Read more

[Op-Ed] The Hurricane Katrina Kids We Don't Talk About

I was in my first week of sophomore year at Spelman College on August 29, 2005. Freshman year was transformative; I was learning about love from bell hooks, living in a new city, and beginning to see how differently Blackness could be experienced and embodied. I was becoming a new version of myself and believed I would not return home to New Orleans after college. That changed after Katrina.

Instead of leaving the city when Hurricane Katrina hit, my family stayed behind at a hotel off Canal Street.... Read more

Ever since Kendrick Lamar systematically dismantled Drake's career and overall aura, it seems like the Canadian crooner has been in a downward spiral of epic proportions in his attempt to exact revenge on Kung Fu Kenny and those who he feels wronged him.

Hoping to get things back on track, Drizzy decided to go on Bobbi Althoff's Not This Again podcast and gave people even more reason to clown him as he just can't seem to do anything right these days (no shots).... Read more

We Need Your Help....

We Need Your Help....

Do you see me?

I am 11 year old Amir "Mir Mir" Atkins. On Monday, June 23, 2025 at approximately 2:00 pm, I was at Folwell Park on the northside of Minneapolis when a car drove through the park shooting. A bullet hit my little innocent body. That's when a Good Samaritan named Troy Young tried to help save my life by putting me in his car to get me to the hospital. On the way to the hospital we came across officers who assisted in trying to save my life.... Read more
