Tyre Nichols Case: Mom's $550M Lawsuit Will 'Essentially Bankrupt' Memphis, City Lawyers Say

The fight to get justice for the deadly police beating of Tyre Nichols continues.

Weeks after a federal jury delivered a mixed verdict against the former Memphis police officers who beat Tyre Nichols to death following a traffic stop, lawyers for the city fighting a lawsuit filed by the unarmed Black driver's mother say she is not being forthcoming.

Fox 13 reported that city attorneys claim RowVaughn Wells, who in April sued Memphis and its police department for the fatal brutality, is being accused of withholding information that can be used to fight the $550 million lawsuit.
