Iron Maiden Announces Final Tour Dates Before Extended Break

Iron Maiden will not attend this fall's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, but the band remains active on the road.

Frontman Bruce Dickinson has started scheduling solo shows while Iron Maiden continues its Run For Your Lives Tour across North America, South America, East Asia and Oceania.

The tour features songs from early albums, including their 1980 self-titled debut through 1992's "Fear of the Dark." Guitarist Adrian Smith told Billboard, "It's great playing that set. It's songs from way back, and they still sound great when you give them an airing. They still sound fresh and powerful."

During the opening shows of the current tour in Toronto, Dickinson commented on the band's absence from North America. "How long has it been since we have been to Toronto? Too long, too long. And in Canada, in fact," Dickinson told fans at Scotiabank Arena. "We got here, we crossed Lake Ontario. We will be crossing the Gulf of Mexico. It is a ridiculous state of the world."

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony is scheduled for Nov. 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The band will be traveling between concerts in Melbourne and Sydney, Australia, on those dates.

Dickinson told Classic Rock magazine that such industry honors do not matter to the band. "The BRITs, the Grammys, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, all of it is utterly irrelevant to us," he said. "What's No. 1 at the moment? I couldn't tell you. It's meaningless. All I care about is what Iron Maiden are doing next week."

The Run For Your Lives Tour began in 2025 and includes multi-night stops in New Jersey and California in September. The tour then continues with shows in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, New Zealand, Australia and Japan.

After the Yokohama, Japan, concerts on Nov. 24 and 25, Iron Maiden will take a break from touring. Management said these will be the "very last shows the band will play until at least 2028, as they take a well-earned break from being on the road for the whole of 2027."

Dickinson will follow the tour with his first solo project since 2024. "The album is heavy as s-," he said after recording at Dave Grohl's studio. This album will not be packaged with a comic book series as with The Mandrake Project. "It's kind of standalone," Dickinson said.
