Mexican Drug Cartel Hacks FBI Agent's Phone, Uses Info To Kill Off Informants?

For all the hoopla and bustle being said about Donald Trump deporting "criminal" immigrants and making America great again in the process, not much was made about the Trump administration letting 17 members of El Chapo's family and other cartel leaders into the United States as part of a deal the infamous Sinaloa Cartel cut with the U.S. this past May.




Now, it seems like that same cartel was somehow able to hack the phone of an FBI agent and used the information lifted off that phone to track down and kill informants double-crossing the family. According to Ars Technica, an "individual connected" to the Sinaloa Cartel hired a hacker in Mexico who proceeded to look for "people of interest" to hack and ultimately landed on an FBI Assistant Legal Attache and went to work. After obtaining said attache's mobile phone number, the hacker was able to obtain calls made and received along with the geolocation data that was connected to the attache's phone number.




That's when the fireworks started.




Per Ars Technica:




"According to the FBI, the hacker also used Mexico City's camera system to follow the [attache] through the city and identify people the [attache] met with," the heavily redacted report stated. "According to the case agent, the cartel used that information to intimidate and, in some instances, kill potential sources or cooperating witnesses."




The report didn't explain what technical means the hacker used.




Had this happened under the Biden administration y'all already know how that would've went. But since it happened under the Trump administration it's being overlooked. This is just another example of how historically inept this entire administration has been only six months into Trump's term. From airplanes falling out of the sky following hundreds of firings at the FAA to American citizens being targeted and unjustly deported just for the color of their skin, this Trump administration has been a disaster. But hey, at least MAGA owned the liberals, right?
