Angel Reese Says 'I'm A Rookie But I'm Gonna Be Vocal' While Speaking About Entering The WNBA
Basketball star Angel Reese isn't letting her WNBA rookie status interfere with her confidence.

The newly drafted Chicago Sky player recently shared her mindset on being a newcomer to the WNBA, making it clear that she doesn't plan to hold anything back.

Angel Reese opened up about the matter during a recent interview with a local Chicago reporter. The 21-year-old explained that despite the upcoming season being her first in the league, she plans to speak up for herself and her teammates. She stated:

"I don't know if they've ever had a rookie be so confident coming in...Being able to be super vocal, being able to just step up for them and be there for them. So, I try to be everything I can for this team and I know my mentality every day coming into practice is going to be helpful ... even though I'm a rookie."



Going on to speak about her new Chicago Sky teammates, she added:

"I feel super comfortable. We had a dinner before we even started training camp and I told them, I was like, 'I'm a rookie but I'm gonna be vocal. I'm gonna be confident...I'm going to push everybody in practice because I know the greatness out of all of you guys. I've watched you guys since you were in college. I watched you guys as pros because I admired to be here one day."

As we previously covered, Angel Reese was drafted No. 7 overall to the Windy City team during the 2024 WNBA draft held last month. The former Louisiana State University Tiger gained widespread notoriety last year after leading her college team to an exciting victory over #1 WNBA draft pick Caitlin Clark who played for Iowa at the time. The hooper's on-the-court rivalry set up a showdown that many tuned in to witness and brought major attention to the game of women's basketball.

Reese added in the interview that she plans to keep up the momentum by excelling at the game and quieting her haters. She stated:

"A lot of people didn't think I would get drafted top 10...I'm super confident in who I am and I know what I can do and my capabilities ... I'm not scared of anybody,"

Kanye West Criticized By Fans After Failing To Release Highly Anticipated 'Vultures 2' Album
Fans of hip-hop vet Kanye West are not too happy with him at the moment.

Many have been expressing their disappointment that the musician didn't release his highly anticipated Vultures 2 album with Ty Dolla $ign, which was slated to drop at midnight today (Friday, May 3rd).

Kanye West told fans he would be releasing the project today during a previous interview on Justin LaBoy's The Download. In the days leading up to the scheduled release, however, some fans became skeptical as neither of the musicians have been promoting it online. As one report noted, Kanye West even went as far announcing his departure from Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) ahead of the project's release.

Vultures 2 is the follow-up to West and Ty Dolla $ign's first collaborative project Vultures 1, which hit streaming back in February. The album was received with much acclaim from fans and debuted at #1 on Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. Shortly after its debut, however, it became the center of controversy as reports claimed that the record's distributors were trying to pull it from several streaming services.

Despite the drama surrounding the roll out of the first project, it seems fans were still hopeful that its sequel would have a smoother release. It looks like things didn't go as planned as Vultures 2 is now hours past its anticipated release, and fans have certainly not been shy about expressing their disappointment.








At this time it doesn't appear that neither West nor Ty Dolla $ign have given any update about when fans can expect the project.

Users have been reacting to her latest release "Here We Go," and an overwhelming majority seems to be loving it.

Coco Jones has been teasing her latest song for the past couple of weeks on social media. In a first look teaser, posted to her social pages on April 12th, she revealed the record would sample Twista's 2004 hit "Overnight Celebrity." She wrote as a caption to the post:

Fans immediately responded positively, expressing their excitement for Coco Jones to drop the track. The 26-year-old later revealed that the single would make its debut today (Friday, May 3rd), and it did so with much fanfare. Social media users have been sharing their reactions to the song, with many praising Jones' vocals and expressing their admiration for the song as a whole.



One user wrote:

While another added:

"Omg Coco Jones ate this new single up!!!"

Another wrote in part, "

Jones' new song is the second single she's released since her Billboard charting "ICU," which reached #21 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart. The singer also dropped her single "Love Is War" in February 2023. Both songs are expected to appear on her forthcoming project.

Continuing, the social media manager explained that the hate messages have been stemming from comments she made about not watching her wife on TV growing up. During an appearance on TikTok star Fannita's podcast Bottoms Up a couple of weeks ago, Miranda Maday claimed that she didn't watch Raven-Symoné's hit Disney series That's So Raven. Additionally, Maday also says she didn't realize her famous wife was the co-star of the 1999 Disney hit Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century and its sequel. Further, Maday revealed that she's never seen the Disney classic Cheetah Girls.



For many, the notion seems impossible as Raven was one of the network's brightest stars in the late '90s and early 2000s. It seems critics have been expressing their frustrations with Maday's revelation by way of hate mail and death threats, which she went on to address in their response video. Clarifying the situation from her view, Maday stated:

"I never have once said that I did not know who Raven was. I only ever said that I did not grow up watching That's So Raven. I did not watch her as a child, but since getting married and meeting her in 2015, I have seen the majority of her work...."

She continued,

"Raven, I think she should have won all the Emmys. I think my wife is endlessly talented. I support her beyond. She also just isn't Raven-Symoné to me. You guys must try and open your minds a little bit and understand there is more behind people that are celebrities. There is real life here."

Mariah The Scientist Arrested For March Club Fight In Atlanta, Woman Named Cleopatra Dues Told Police Singer Pulled Off Her Wig & Dragged Her Across The Floor
Update (May 3, 2024): Mariah The Scientist has been taken into custody in Atlanta after being seen in a viral club fight in late March.

She was arrested on Thursday (May 2), after Cleopatra Dues told police that the 26-year-old "From a Woman" singer beat her up at Cavo Kitchen and Cocktail, per a Fulton County police report obtained by TMZ. She was charged with battery and released on bond the same day.

Cleopatra Dues is an influencer and alleged ex of Mariah the Scientist's boyfriend Young Thug.

Clepotra Dues is said to have reported the fight to police at the Zone 2 precinct on March 29, alleging that Mariah the Scientist (real name Mariah Buckles) pulled her before yanking off her wig and pulling her across the table and floor. Cleoptra said her legs and feet were injured in the scuffle. She told police she left the lounge before calling authorities because she felt she was in danger. She said she wasn't wearing her glasses so she couldn't see the alleged assailant clearly, but later told authorities it was indeed Mariah.

Cleoptra noted that she wants Mariah charged for the incident and also wants to see footage, if any, that Cavo might have captured on surveillance cameras.

She said she has never had any interaction with Mariah in the past, and doesn't know why she was allegedly attacked.

Singer Mariah the Scientist has been trending on social media after getting into a physical altercation in an Atlanta bar.

In the now-viral footage, Mariah the Scientist appears to be on the ground tussling with someone, who has allegedly identified as a woman named Cleo.

While the 30-second clip doesn't show much of the fight, another part captures fellow clubgoers shuffling around the closed-in area before a disheveled Mariah springs back to her feet.

At this time, the exact reason behind the random run-in is unclear. According to an exclusive from The Neighborhood Talk, witnesses recalled Mariah running inside the establishment and swinging at the individual.

Initially, it was rumored to have been rapper Cleotrapa on the other end of the on-site feud. Following the hearsay, Cleotrapa indirectly denied it in an Instagram post where she stated that she "just woke up" and encouraged fans to listen to her new upcoming song.

Newer reports have since contradicted that claim as others have pointed out that it was another woman named Cleopatra Dues.

The influencer is allegedly an ex-lover (some have even cited her as a baby's mother) of the "Spread Thin" artist's boyfriend, Young Thug.

Earlier this month, she was seen using 26-year-old Mariah's infamous "Am I your baby?" as the caption under one of her latest Instagram photos. (The phrase was coined in a leaked jail phone call between Mariah and Young Thug where she asked the rapper, "Daddy, am I your baby?")

The jailed lyricist has been behind bars since 2022 on gang-related charges.

In the meantime, multiple fans hopped on X (formerly Twitter) to share their thoughts on the fight, causing Mariah to trend on the social platform. One write,

Another added,

"Them BM's be mad af [laughing emojis] I'm weak not Mariah the scientist tussling"

One fan called out Mariah and wrote,

Unlike many Hollywood stars who often use their status and funds to elevate the livelihood of their offspring, actor Jeff Goldblum wants his children to learn the importance of making it on their own. During a recent podcast interview, the 71-year-old, reportedly worth an estimated $40 million, spoke on how he's raising his children - Charlie, 8, and River, 6 - and the hopes he has for them once they become adults. Explaining why he won't be leaving his fortune behind for his sons, he said,

"Hey, you know, you've got to row your own boat,"

Jeff Goldblum continued,

"It's an important thing to teach kids. I'm not going to do it for you. And you're not going to want me to do it for you,"

Goldblum made his film debut in 1974, however, it's his work in major blockbusters such as "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" "Jurassic Park," and "Independence Day," that helped take his stardom to a whole other level.



He shares his two young boys with his wife, retired Olympic rhythmic gymnast Emilie Livingston. Elaborating more on his point of view, Goldblum added,

"You've got to figure out how to find out what's wanted and needed and where that intersects with your love and passion and what you can do. And even it if doesn't, you might have to do that anyway."

The public has had somewhat mixed reactions to Goldblum's tough-love parenting style. Weighing in on X (formerly Twitter), one person found humor in the celeb's words, writing,

According to a report from TMZ, Wednesday night (May 1) the Grammy Award winner had an explosive fight with her boyfriend Paul Soliz that left bystanders wondering if Britney Spears is mentally sound. The dispute, which reportedly turned physical, occurred at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, California. It's unclear how the night initially started to go south, however, a woman reportedly called authorities, informing them that someone they believed to be the "Womanizer" artist was harassing and threatening staff and guests.

Police purportedly showed up after 10:30 PM, but once they arrived on the scene they saw no issues, so they left. They probably should have stuck around a little longer, however, as things apparently only got worse from there. Sources said Britney Spears and her reported bae took their partying back to their suite where they continued drinking the night away. And at some point, they got into a physical altercation. Guests were allegedly able to hear the dispute as witnesses claimed Britney was screaming and "out of control."

Several bystanders feared the celeb was experiencing a mental breakdown and paramedics were called.

Paparazzi documented the aftermath, capturing an emotional Britney walking out of the hotel with a pillow and blanket wrapped around herself. In the end, she left the hotel with her security team and not the paramedics. Paul Soliz didn't head out with her, according to the report.

Kendrick Lamar Name-Dropping Toronto Restaurant Amid Rap Beef w/ Drake Sparks Surge Of Positive Reviews & New Customers
Looks like Kendrick Lamar inadvertently put a Toronto restaurant on the map.

Following the release of his Drake diss record "Euphoria," where he mentions New Ho King restaurant, the restaurant's owner revealed he's seen an influx of positive comments and new interest in his business.

A local Toronto news station interviewed the eatery's owner Johnny Lu to check in after being gifted a shoutout by Kendrick Lamar. In case you're unfamiliar, the Compton native was poking fun at Drake's Canadian origins and slang on the diss track as he raps the line:

"I be at New Ho King eatin' fried rice with a dip sauce and a blammy, crodie."



Since the record dropped on Tuesday (April 30th), Johnny Lu said his restaurant, reportedly a well-known after-hours spot in Toronto's Chinatown district, has been getting much more attention. He happily expressed:

"This morning a lot of people texted me saying that's your restaurant? I say, 'Yes.' They say, 'Look at the song...He said good food and friend rice get more and more rice, the chef's gonna be busy!"

He added:

Johnny Lu went on to state that he's been preparing for his increase in business, as fans of Kendrick Lamar have continued to flood his restaurant page with 5-star reviews and comments about traveling to the restaurant just because of the rap reference. One New Ho King diner told reporters:

"I came all the way from Markham just to see this fried rice...Kendrick Lamar, man. You gotta pay respect to K. Dot, man. Ever since he dropped the diss track I was like, 'I gotta visit this place.'"

Lamar and Drake re-sparked their quiet decade-long beef earlier this year after the "HUMBLE" artist dissed the Canada native and J. Cole during his feature on Metro Boomin and Future's single "Like That." In response, Drake released his own diss towards Lamar titled "Push Ups," leading to Lamar's "Euphoria."

The hip-hop world is now waiting to see if Drake will continue the beef, and take more shots at Lamar in another diss record.

Wendy Williams' Controversial Lifetime Doc May Have Additional Installments, According To Producers: 'The Story's Not Over'
Producers of the controversial Where's Wendy Williams docuseries hinted they have more projects in the works.

During a recent interview, producers Mark Ford and Erica Hanson stated they have more of Wendy Williams' story to share and claimed to have the full support of her family.

Reportedly, Ford and Hanson were attending an event where an interviewer asked them about the famed TV host's startling docuseries, to which Ford stated:

"The story's not over. I could say that much...We've continued to be in touch with [the family] and they're very supportive of the project."



He added:

"I think, you know, this isn't the end of this story. There'll be more...I don't think the world has seen the last of Wendy Williams."

If you recall, the docuseries drew much criticism following its release in February as many felt it was inappropriate to showcase Wendy Williams in such a vulnerable way. The 4-part project gave an inside look at the many issues the 59-year-old has been dealing with in recent years, including losing her eponymous talk series, being given a court-ordered guardian to control her finances, health complications (including a dementia diagnosis), as well as battling alcohol addiction.

Explaining their reasoning for backing the project, Ford and Hanson explained that they, along with Williams and her son Kevin Hunter Jr., hoped it would be an opportunity for Williams to "tell her story so honestly and truthfully" and be a "catalyst for change." Addressing the backlash, they added:

"This is not an easy story to watch or to tell. But hopefully we did it truthfully, with integrity and sensitively."

Elsewhere in the interview, the co-producers relished the thought of the docuseries being awarded an Emmy and shared what they felt it would mean to Williams herself. Hanson stated:

"Oh, that would mean, I think, the world. Not only to us, but to Wendy...I can't even imagine the impact that would have on her."

While Ford added:

"It would be an amazing tribute to Wendy to get an Emmy nomination for something she was an executive producer on that allowed her to tell her story."

The producers also shared that they have not been in touch with Williams since the doc was released. They did state, however, that she's allegedly seen the series, and "People who are close to her" said, "She's fine with it."

In a newly aired interview with journalist Touré, the 32x Grammy Award winner's co-dance captain Amari "Monster" Marshall candidly dished about her personal life, career journey, and other celebs she's worked with. As it's probably expected, during the conversation, she was also asked about her boss, Beyoncé, and if there's a chance another tour is on the horizon. Many have been pleading with the "Just For Fun" artist to take her talents back on the road following the release of her critically acclaimed eighth studio album "Cowboy Carter." However, to date, no tour details have been released for act ii of Beyoncé's ongoing trilogy.

When asked if she's been preparing for an act ii tour, appearing to shy away from the question, Amari Marshall said,

"You know I can't talk about that."

After she'd told "You can do anything you want to do," she doubled down with,

Without missing a beat, Amari Marshall looked straight forward, making sure to keep her eyes as wide as possible.
