Michael E Coleman brings a wealth of industry experience as a musician, performer, songwriter, band –director, publisher, and promoter producing his band Musicole w/Michael C. A native of Benton Harbor, Michigan, he is a self-taught musician who began playing guitar in 1971. He attended Columbia school of Broadcasting as a radio announcer after graduating from LaSalle high school in 1975.
Coleman played with the likes of R&B legends Clarence Carter (“Patchesâ€, “Strokinâ€, etc.), The Platters (“Only Youâ€, “The Great Pretender, etc.), and The Impressions (“People Get Readyâ€, “It’s Alrightâ€, “Amenâ€, etc.). He performed in the Indiana University Jazz Ensemble, and co-founded “Congressional Funk†who became an opening act for many greats through out the Midwest circuit. He also toured with “Tangie ‘N’ Tommie†from Columbus, Ohio where he relocated to Houston, Texas to work with “Archie Bell & The Drellsâ€.
Through out the 90’s, Coleman played guitar on Scotia Prince Cruise lines where the floorshow consisted of TV commercials and excerpts. He also had a stint on New York’s Broadway where he sang on “The Phantom of the Operaâ€, “Greaseâ€, and “A Tribute to Motownâ€.
In 2000, Coleman began producing and directing, while also performing in Musicole w/Michael C., a premiere show band in Nevada. While having |
