His earliest musical influences include Percy Sledge, Earth, Wind, and Fire, Kool and the Gang, and Kenny Rogers, which he heard playing on his mother's stereo. He earned his stripes as a popular house party DJ in Brampton, Malton, and Mississauga, where he eventually established his own residency.
