Paul McCartney Announces Nostalgic Solo Album 'The Boys Of Dungeon Lane'

Paul McCartney announced his 18th solo album, The Boys Of Dungeon Lane, on Thursday, set for release May 29th. The 14-track collection marks his first release since 2020's McCartney III and explores his formative years in Liverpool. The album title references a road from his native Liverpool to the Speke shoreline where he grew up. McCartney, 83, released the wistful first single "Days We Left Behind," an acoustic ballad reflecting on his past. "This is very much a memory song for me," McCartney said in a statement. The album originated five years ago during a jam session with producer Andrew Watt, when McCartney discovered an unfamiliar chord sequence. The introspective collection features McCartney playing most instruments and includes songs about his childhood, parents, and early adventures with future Beatles John Lennon and George Harrison.

August Burns Red Announce "Season of Surrender" Out 6/5 + Share "The Nameless"

August Burns Red - Jake Luhrs (vocals); JB Brubaker (guitar); Brent Rambler (guitar); Dustin Davidson (bass); and Matt Grenier (drums) - need no introduction. For over two decades, the Lancaster, Pennsylvania-based act has been crafting its own unique brand of metalcore that has established ABR as one of the foremost acts in the genre. Their career milestones speak for themselves: Multiple placements in the top 10 on the Billboard Top 200; tours with everyone from Bullet For My Valentine to A Day To Remember; and an accumulation of 600 million streams.
However, the band - nominated for Best Metal Performance Grammys in 2016 for the song "Identity" and again for "Invisible Enemy" in 2018 - has never stopped pushing the limits of their sound.
And that fact has never been more prevalent than on their forthcoming new album SEASON OF SURRENDER, which will arrive on June 5 via Fearless Records, the label to which they recently returned.
ABR have also just shared the lyric video for new single "The Nameless."
"The Nameless" accomplishes more in under three minutes than most heavy bands do over the course of an entire album. The track boasts the band's signature complex rhythm section, alongside dark and moody guitars, with an unrelenting vocal assault. This song is ABR stripped down to the absolute core of their sound: Intricate, crushing, and ferocious.
"'The Nameless' is a hard-hitting, heavy bruiser that doesn't let up for one moment," states Davidson. "It combines classic ABR elements with dark moody technical rhythms, and fast paced vocals to keep the intensity up for the full three minutes of the track. To me it showcases our roots of where we've come from, and the future path of where we're heading."
Luhrs follows, "Lyrically, 'The Nameless' is a song about not wasting your life away for the sake of acceptance and comfortability. Sometimes it takes detaching from what you've been told, or from the beliefs you are no longer aligned with, in order to face your own weaknesses. In doing so you can break free to live a life you are proud of."
Season of Surrender features guest appearances from The Devil Wears Prada's Mike Hranica, Polaris' Jamie Hails, and Make Them Suffer

Of Virtue Fight For Survival On "The Art Of Love"

Michigan metalcore outfit, Of Virtue, have torn open a new would, as they've released their brand new single, "The Art Of Love", via Arising Empire today. Following the explosive reception to their previous single, "Death Of The Altar", today's brand new single arrives as Of Virtue's latest chapter in an already commanding year, building on the world they established on their 2023 record, "OMEN", which has amassed an impressive 65 million streams since its release. Fans can listen to the new single HERE.
Where "Death Of The Altar" turned addiction and self-destruction inward, "The Art Of Love" widens the lens, zeroing in on the quiet, yet deafening, devastation of a connection that consumes more than it gives. Co-written alongside Lee Albrecht (Bilmuri, The Devil Wears Prada, etc) and Evan McKeever (Starset, Koe Wetzel, etc), "The Art Of Love" and "Death Of The Altar" continue the band's ongoing focus on the emotional and relational toll that addiction, mental health, and the stigma surrounding both leave in their wake.
Of Virtue have never shied away from the harder truths, and "The Art Of Love" exposes the way that love can become its own kind of war of attrition, one fought in silences, sacrifices, and the slow erosion of your core.
On reckoning with everything that love can cost you, vocalist and guitarist Damon Tate shares:
"Sometimes you have songs that embody more of the existential problems we have in the world and other times, you just need that blunt force reminder that we all go through a lot of the same things. Toxicity in relationships will exist until the end of time - scorned lovers that are navigating their own character growth while refusing to let go or move on from abusive situations.
Love is one of the most powerful and complex emotions we can experience in our lives. The right person makes you levitate above the clouds and can also make you feel like you're living in a nightmare every day. This song brings our self worth, value and how we accept/show that love to ourselves and others into question."
Harnessing the potent fusion of powerful melodies and emotionally charged lyrics, Of Virtue maintain a steadfast commitment to authenticity, consistently redefining the genre while staying true to their artistic essence. Beloved across 35 countries and having performed at multiple Danny Wimmer festivals, Upheaval, Full Force, Summer Breeze, and Pulp Summer Slam amongst many others, it's no surprise that they've shared stages with bands such as Slipknot, Bad Omens, Nothing More, and Three Days Grace. Beyond their musical prowess, the metal powerhouse also serve as passionate mental health advocates on and off stage. Often seen using their platform to raise awareness and openly discuss these vital issues, Of Virtue have become a source of hope and inspiration for countless fans facing similar challenges.
Carrying forward the spirit of their 2023 record, "Omen", Of Virtue continue to champion vulnerability, community, and the belief that no one is defined solely by their worst decisions. With "Death Of The Altar" and "The Art Of Love" standing as the next chapter, the band further their evolution with a fearless, unflinching look at what it means to reclaim your life, even when it means burning down everything that once felt familiar.
Be sure to stay tuned for more Of Virtue news coming very soon

Eva Under Fire Announce New Album "Villainous" + Share Title Track ( Feat. Maria Brink)

Listening to EVA UNDER FIRE is quite literally hard rock therapy, turning scars and demons into anthems of inner strength. As a licensed therapist and singer-songwriter, Amanda Lyberg blends emotional insight with powerful songwriting, delivering lyrics and performances that connect deeply and hit listeners right in the feels.
Today, the Detroit quintet announces the July 10 release of its new album VILLAINOUS via Better Noise Music. It follows their 2022-released debut, Love, Drugs & Misery.
To herald the news, Eva Under Fire have also shared the video for the title track and first radio single, both of which feature In This Moment's Maria Brink.
The track is laced with crunchy industrial elements that defined late '90s and early '00s-era rock, but Eva Under Fire add a modern punch with the dual-female vocal interplay between Lyberg and Brink.
"They thought I would always be compliant, but they pushed me too far," declares a defiant Lyberg about the song's deeper meaning. "I make my own rules now. Standing up for myself, owning my truth leaves me looking like a villain to those I have left behind."
Regarding the collaboration with Brink, Lyberg enthuses, "I've been a Maria Brink fan for years so this is a full-circle moment! Her vocal on this track gives it the energy it needed. I honestly can't think of a better feature given the song's message. Two fierce women's voices on a hard rock song about taking your power back? A match made in villainy for sure."
Brink weighs in, as well, saying, "I am excited to be a part of the new Eva Under Fire track 'Villainous.' When I first heard the song and saw the video, I knew right away I wanted to be involved. I can't wait for everyone to experience both the music and the visuals.

Dark Divine Release "Half Past Dead (Unbury Me)"

Four piece metalcore outfit Dark Divine is set to release their new single "Half Past Dead (Unbury Me)" on Friday, March 27th via Thriller Records. The track arrives alongside an official music video, set to premiere the same day at 12 PM ET. With "Half Past Dead (Unbury Me)," the band leans into a darker, more suffocating atmosphere, capturing the feeling of being stuck in place while everything around you keeps moving.
"Half Past Dead is a song about the concept of fleeting time," shares vocalist Anthony Martinez. "There are times we put ourselves in the very places that keep us from truly living. We sit and rot away while life passes us by. This song is meant to say that while we may feel past the point of no return, as long as we still bleed, we are still of the living."
There's a quiet frustration running through "Half Past Dead (Unbury Me)," rooted in the feeling of watching your own life drift while you stay in the same place. Small choices build over time and start to feel heavier, until ignoring it isn't really an option anymore. What's left is that moment of recognition and the understanding that being here still means something

Poison Drummer Rikki Rockett's Memoir Set For Summer Release

Poison drummer Rikki Rockett's long-awaited memoir Ghost Notes: My Life In Poison will arrive this summer through Rare Bird Books. Written with Leif Eriksson and Martin Svensson, the book's cover was unveiled Wednesday on social media. The 64-year-old musician, born Richard Allan Ream, explained the title references drumming techniques producers banned during Poison's early career and represents "all the stuff in between" major headlines. Rockett said the memoir focuses on untold stories from the band's Pennsylvania origins rather than well-known Sunset Strip tales. "What's more interesting is our years in the tri-state area and Pennsylvania and all the crap we went through trying to play gigs," he stated. The book covers difficult periods including his cancer battle and false rape accusations. Poison has sold over 50 million records worldwide with hits like "Every Rose Has Its Thorn.

Sam Hunt Explains Long Gaps Between Albums Due To Disorganization

Sam Hunt revealed why he takes years between album releases during a Taste of Country Nights podcast appearance. Hunt, who has scored 11 number-one hits across just two albums, blamed poor organization for delays. "I would tell my younger self to organize my work life in a better way so that I can be more productive," Hunt said. "I think that has cost me time, and I could have more music out." The singer admitted having "songs scattered all over the country" after losing phones and notebooks containing years of work. Hunt also struggles completing songs, explaining it takes four to five years to move tracks "from the notebook to the studio." His debut album Montevallo arrived in 2014, followed by Southside six years later in 2020. Despite recently organizing his cloud storage system, Hunt hasn't indicated when fans might expect new material.

Eric Church Reveals Fan Mistook Him For Luke Bryan At Atlanta Bar

Eric Church shared an amusing mix-up during his recent concert at State Farm Arena in Atlanta. The country star told the crowd about visiting Wild Bill's bar, where fans approached him discussing songs they thought he had performed. Church realized all the songs they mentioned actually belonged to Luke Bryan. Rather than correct the confused fans, Church decided to play along with the mistaken identity. "So I didn't tell 'em that I wasn't Luke Bryan," Church said during his show. "I love Luke. But if you're here tonight, we're not gonna do 'Country Girl Shake It For Me.' Well, we could." The incident highlights the friendship between the two country stars. Last year, Church stepped in to perform at festivals when Bryan had to cancel shows due to illness that affected his voice. Bryan thanked Church for the last-minute assistance, praising his performance.
