Anthrax Delays New Album To September, Announces First Single For May

Anthrax will release their first album in 10 years this September, drummer Charlie Benante confirmed to Australia's Everblack podcast. The thrash metal band originally planned a May release but pushed back the date. "We're putting out our first song and video in May. The record is not coming out till September," Benante stated. This marks the longest gap between Anthrax albums, surpassing the eight-year wait between 2003's We've Come for You All and 2011's Worship Music. Guitarist Scott Ian attributed the delay to COVID-19 disrupting their 2020 recording plans. Producer Jay Ruston returns after working on their previous two albums. The band teased new material during their recent Canadian tour with Megadeth and Exodus. Benante expressed excitement about the unrevealed album title, calling it "really, really good." Anthrax plans extensive touring including dates supporting Iron Maiden

Poison the Well Drop Video for "Weeping Tones"

POISON THE WELL are thrilled to release PEACE IN PLACE, their first album in 16 years, today, March 20 via SharpTone Records.
Today, they share the video for "Weeping Tones."
"There's a quiet loss of control that comes from feeling like you can't fully be yourself anymore," offers singer Jeffrey Moreira. "When you have to shrink who you are just to avoid judgment or conflict, it starts to feel like something is being taken from you. That's what 'Weeping Tones' is about."
He continues, "This video reflects that struggle, but it also holds onto something stronger - the one thing no one can take from you: Your ability to give your love and energy to the people who matter most. No matter how heavy the world gets, no matter how much it tries to pull you apart, you can always choose to keep walking until you reach what matters most - hold it close, and never let go.

ELLEFSON-SOTO RELEASE TWO ICONIC COVER SONGS

Ellefson-Soto have released two new cover songs today, paying tribute to two legendary forces in music: the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley, and Los Angeles punk rock icons FEAR. Both songs were recorded and filmed live during the Rogue Recording Sessions inside the legendary Battery Studios in London, UK in July 2025.
The releases arrive just ahead of the band's upcoming performances at the Whisky A Go-Go in Hollywood, California on Thursday, April 9, and aboard the Monsters of Rock Cruise sailing April 12-17. These tracks deliver a punch in the face while celebrating classic songs re-imagined for 2026.
David Ellefson explains the inspiration behind the recordings:"The band FEAR has been a staple of our attitude and style of music from the beginning. And Elvis Presley has only become more legendary in recent years with so many films and documentaries about his iconic life. Let's face it - he's the one who showed us all how rock stardom was done from the start. So we thought it fitting to honor the King of Rock and Roll and the kings of punk rock at the same time."
Vocalist Jeff Scott Soto adds:"We wanted as many tools as possible to lure you into our recent album 'Unbreakable' so we all met up in London to make a few more videos for ya! BUT these two songs are NOT on the album - instead they are two cover jams that gave us more reason to have fun together... familiar in the punk world, FEAR's 'I Don't Care About You' and Elvis' 'Jailhouse Rock,' delivered with in-your-face, no-mercy power!"
The songs were recorded by Alessio Garavello at Rogue Recording in London, UK, with video editing by Elia Turra. Special thanks to Blackstar Amps for providing the wall of sound during the sessions.

Ellefson-Soto have released two albums through Rat Pak Records: Vacation in the Underworld (2022) and Unbreakable (2025)

Code:Words Drop New Single "All Consuming"

Code:Words Drop New Single "All Consuming"

It's a masterful slice of electro pop metalcore that will take up real estate in your brain for weeks at a time. It also looks at the kill or be killed stance one often has to take in relationships.
"'All Consuming' is about struggling with the realization that you can't save someone who doesn't want to save themselves," offers singer John Dillon. "That, over time, you can break yourself down in service of others and not realize the effects it had on you. At some point, you're faced with an uncomfortable choice: Them or me. I think this is a moment a lot of people can relate to. We all have someone in our lives that we'd do anything to protect from the cold realities of the world, but eventually you have to tell them 'I won't set myself on fire to keep you warm anymore.'"
"All Consuming" follows prior single "Limerence."
ABOUT CODE:WORDS:
When CODE:WORDS formed in Los Angeles in 2023, they did not arrive quietly. The band showed up with urgency and a sound that already felt lived in - like it had a past behind it, like they'd been a touring act for years before anyone was paying attention.
They first gained attention with "Wash the Blood," a self-released debut that spread without a rollout or a manufactured moment. In this short time, the band has now amassed over two million streams worldwide, not on hype, but on repeat listens and slow-built loyalty. Early 2026 marked another breakout moment for CODE:WORDS as they announced their signing to longtime industry powerhouse The Artery Foundation and released their most dynamic single to date with "Limerence." The song quickly took the industry by storm, debuting on Sirius XM's Octane Test Drive, earning a spot in rotation, and on Kerrang Radio's Unleashed in the UK.
Fronted by John Dillon, with Garrett Lowery and Max Codoceo, CODE:WORDS write from uncomfortable places: Obsession. Shame. Control. Emotional exhaustion. Nothing is exaggerated. Nothing is softened. The music is meant to make you feel something raw, and it leaves you uneasy in the best way.
The band's sound was shaped alongside producer Hiram Hernandez (Blessthefall, Honey Revenge). The approach is deliberate. Clear, and concise with one objective; Give you everything until, you feel it all

The Hu Unleash Not One, But Two Songs With "The Men" + "Warrior Chant"

It's a double dose of brand new music from Hunnu Rock pioneers The Hu.
The Gold-certified global phenomenon deliver "The Men" which is accompanied by an official music video, alongside "Warrior Chant," both out now via Better Noise Music.
Traditional Mongolian strings herald the arrival of "The Men." This organic swell gives way to a gritty and gruff groove-laden riff topped off with hypnotic vocals. The band's signature hybrid of indigenous instrumentation, heavy-as-a-2x4 guitars, and transfixing tribal chanting makes for another essential anthem from The Hu. It's tailor-made for an epic battle scene, climax of your favorite video game, or workout session. At the same time, it's evocative of the musicians' own tradition and heritage.
About "The Men," Galaa commented, "'The Men' is written based on Mongolian philosophy of 'Man's Inner Spirit' or ' ' and the importance of inner strength and kindness of a man to the world. Energy of men should always be reinforced with positiveness, strength and generosity, so this song try to encapsulate that ancient wisdom and share to the rest of humanity. Lyrics are chants that guides young and old men alike to be headstrong and to have dream that cultivate goodness. We only wanted to focus on the positives that can make a man ponder about who he is in this world and wonder about how he can have positive inner spirit when listening to it. Hope our fans will be able to capture every fiber of Mongolian Man's way of living through this song."
Then, there's "Warrior Chant." It lives up to its title with a hard-charging chorus and a tight and taut metallic soundscape. Between the horse head fiddle and instantly recognizable delivery, it immediately amplifies everything that fans have fallen in love with about the band in the first place.
Regarding "Warrior Chant," Galaa added, "'Warrior Chant' has our signature rhythm that our fans fell in love with and everyone who will listen and know us will say that it is 'our song.' Our third album has bit of everything, rhythm-wise, and we see that as a progress of expanding the Hunnu Rock genre... Enkush and I focused on horse head fiddle solos by imitating the horse gait and you will hear the rhythm throughout the song."

See you at the throne." Have you ever felt like everything you gave was taken for granted while someone else profited from your pain? With "Blood Money," Catch Your Breath step into a darker and more confrontational space, built around the moment when you see that truth and decide you won't let it happen again.
