Blackhawks Lose to Sabres - Rasmus Dahlin had a goal and two assists, and the Buffalo Sabres stopped a three-game slide by topping the Chicago Blackhawks 3-2 on Sunday night. Erik Johnson snapped a third-period tie and Jeff Skinner also scored for Buffalo, which dropped four of five overall. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 24 saves. Johnson drove around Chicago defenseman Seth Jones midway through the third before flipping a tough-angle shot over Petr Mrazek's right shoulder for a 3-2 lead. It was the second goal of the season for the veteran defenseman. Click below to read more: https://www.espn.com/nhl/recap/_/gameId/401559499

Bears Lose to Lions - David Montgomery's go-ahead 1-yard touchdown run with 29 seconds left against his former team lifted the Detroit Lions to a 31-26 comeback victory over Justin Fields and the Chicago Bears on Sunday. The NFC North-leading Lions (8-2) overcame four turnovers, including Jared Goff's season-high three interceptions, and a 12-point deficit over the last 3:06 to rally for the win. Detroit has its best record through 10 games since 1962, giving the franchise a shot to win a division title for the first time in three decades. Tiger Woods Commits to Playing in the Bahamas

Tiger Woods Commits to Playing in the Bahamas

Tiger Woods will host and compete in the upcoming 2023 Hero World Challenge, he announced Saturday. It will be his first competition since undergoing ankle surgery in the spring. The 47-year-old will join 19 other players in the pursuit of a $3.5 million purse. It's an elite field, including eight of the world's top 10.
Woods, who has 82 tour wins, unveiled the charity tournament in 1999. It has been held annually since then, and will take place at Albany Golf Club in the Bahamas from Nov. 30 to Dec. 3. It's part of the PGA Tour schedule, but it's an unofficial event. This is the competition's eighth time on the islands. In addition to offering philanthropic support for the TGR Foundation and Tavistock Foundation, funds will also go toward the Bahamas Youth Foundation.

Rookie Tyson Bagent led three touchdown drives with Justin Fields sidelined, D'Onta Foreman ran for two scores and caught a TD pass, and the Chicago Bears beat the Las Vegas Raiders 30-12 on Sunday. Blackhawks Beat Penguins 4-2

Blackhawks Beat Penguins 4-2

Coming into Tuesday night's game in Pittsburgh, all of the talk was about Connor Bedard. ALL. OF. IT. To the point that you might not have noticed that there were 19 other guys wearing Blackhawks' sweaters on the roster tonight. Or a home team with Stanley Cup aspirations on the other side with one of the great centers of all time waiting for Bedard in his debut. The young Blackhawks looked like they were taking on water at times. They looked a little overwhelmed at times, too. But they didn't break much, and hung around with the veteran Penguins a lot longer than probably many thought they would - or could.

Bears Beat Commanders

Bears Beat Commanders

On a night that began with the news of Dick Butkus' death, the Bears gave one of their franchise legends a performance to be proud of. Chicago went into FedEx Field on a 14-game losing streak and left with a win, one that might not have been possible without a heroic performance from their newly-acquired receiver. D.J. Moore erupted for 230 yards and three touchdowns in a 40-20 victory, torching the Commanders' secondary in the first half and later icing the game with a 56-yard score in the fourth quarter. Moore was the recipient of 82 percent of Justin Fields' passing yardage, playing the role the Bears expected when they landed him from the Panthers for the No. 1 overall pick.

The football world is mourning the loss of one of the greatest defensive players in the history of the game and one of the best athletes to come out of the City of Chicago. Dick Butkus, a College and Pro Football Hall of Famer who first made a name for himself on the high school gridirons of the city, has died at the age of 80. In a statement released through the Bears, the family confirmed that he died in his sleep overnight at his home in Malibu, California. They are gathering with Butkus' widow, Helen, and are appreciative of prayers and support of Dick. A native of the South Side, Butkus was a star at Chicago Vocational School and then the University of Illinois, where he was a two-time All-American and Big Ten Most Valuable Player in 1963.
