Actress Julia Fox Says 2-Year Celibacy Journey Has Helped Her 'Take Back The Control'

Julia Fox has made some major life changes since dating rapper Kanye "Ye" West.

As you may recall, the pair had a brief, highly publicized fling that reportedly ended on Valentine's Day 2022. Since then, Kanye West went on to marry the head of architecture at his clothing and apparel company Yeezy, Bianca Censori, while Julia Fox seemingly decided to take a break from intimacy. Reportedly, the "Uncut Gems" actress has been celibate for almost two and a half years. During a recent appearance on Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live, Julia Fox explained why she's decided to stay away from sexual intercourse.

She jokingly started with,

"Well, I just think nothing good comes from having sex, including children. No, I'm just kidding."

After laughs from the studio audience, Fox continued,

"But you know, I think with the overturning of Roe v. Wade and our rights being stripped away from us, this is a way that I can take back the control. It just sucks that it has to be in that way but I just don't feel comfortable until things change."

As previously reported, In June 2022, the US Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, basically meaning women's decision to terminate a pregnancy or give birth is no longer protected by the constitution of the United States.



Speaking on whether there's a set end date for her celibacy journey, Fox said,

"Honestly, it was like six months, then it was a year, and now I'm like, oh my god, it's almost two and a half years and it's still going."

Fox then shared that "in the beginning" she missed having sex, but, she added,

"I think it's just like getting over anything. Smoking, drugs, whatever it may be. Eventually you just forget and then all that energy you were putting toward sex you can put it toward other things."
