Anybody catch Jimmy Kimmel the other night? Baby Titus aka Trick Shot Titus is a toddler that has been setting the internet on fire with his ability to shoot the rock like Ray Allen in his prime. On a kiddie hoop the kid gets pretty busy!
Jimmy decided to put Titus against NBA legend Shaq to see who would win... Check out what ensues.
Titus is a problem. Really hope he sticks with it, the Charlotte Bobcats could definitely use a shooter like him right now. This is where it all started...
If you caught the NBA Finals Game 5 this evening you might saw this Samsung ad spot featuring Jay Z in the studio with Timberland, Pharrell, Swizz Beatz, and Rick Rubin. During this 3 minute spot, Hov announced his new album "Magna Carta Holy Grail" will be coming out on July 4th, 2013.
Samsung Galaxy phone users will get the opportunity to download a special app starting on June 24th, where they will be able to download album for free on July 4th, 3 days before everybody else can download it. SMART, VERY SMART Samsung.
Not sure if your remember SXSW this year, where there was a special concert with Prince & A Tribe Called Quest that only Samsung Galaxy users could attend. Phone companies are using cool in a brand new way to get consumers to purchase their product. Like the end of this commercial says "The Next Big Thing Is Here."
Looks like Ye will only have a couple of weeks to really get in, before Jay comes and makes everybody "tuck they whole summer in." Looks like Summer just got REAL interesting.
In 2002 Nike released what to me is still one of the illest dunks ever. The Viotech dunk, back then though everybody called it the "Rainbow Dunk" clearly cause of the all the colors. To my knowledge this shoe was only released in Japan (possibly just overseas) and very hard to find. This is way before Ebay existed so this shoe in the states was virtually impossible to get. To this day I've never even seen these on anybodies feet.
A few weeks back I caught wind that Nike would be releasing a retro version of the dunk. I was expecting there to be a LOT more hype around this shoe. To my surprise there wasn't much at all and the shoe just quietly released on select shelfs on June 8th. I hear this newer version features a zoom air unit in the heel. One of the rarest Dunk's in the world, re-released, no hype and it's only 100 bucks. Almost can't believe it. Did you get a pair?
If you watched ABC's Nightline news last night you might of caught this piece. Sneakerheads: Inside the world of high stakes sneaker trading.
If re-selling is what people consider to be a "sneakerhead" now a days, I'm definitely not one. Interesting to see the news cover how re-selling sneakers has become big business for some. What's even more interesting is the kids on here are like 12 years old. It takes a village and the kids are definitely being raised a "different" way.
If you missed it, check it out here.

Did anybody catch the Dr. J special the other night on NBA TV? Great special, and well put together piece.
While we're currently knee deep in the 2013 NBA Finals and all the talk is on whether or not Lebron James can pull it off again, it's great to take a break from present day basketball and remember how fun the game used too be to watch. And they couldn't have picked a better subject than the Doc. Tracing the Julius Erving's origins in Long Island to college to the pros, this piece documents how one man changed the game of basketball in the NBA and created a legacy that still lives on. Whether you're a basketball fan or not, this piece is still worth check out.
If you missed it, don't worry, cause we got it right here in it's entirety .

I was fortunate enough to get a chance to see these kicks in person about 7 months ago. I've been eagerly anticipating this release ever since. Dubbed the "Sunset Pack" five different air max's (AM 1, AM 90, AM 95, AM 97, Air Max 180) will share the same color-blocking with bright oranges and yellows designed to represent the setting sun. If they look a little different than the OG models, that's because the uppers are all made out of engineered mesh.
Look out for the Sunset Pack at retailers as it will be releasing this Saturday morning.
Spree Wilson and The Flush? I know what you're thinking, sounds like a band right? Wrong. Spree Wilson is actually a emcee/singer/songwritter - let's just say artist for all intents and purposes, and The Flush is a team of producers, both representing ATL. Well I just got my hands on this 6 track EP, released for free download, and it's definitely worth checking out.
Reminds me of what they were playing in ATL when I moved here in the 90′s.
I've known Spree for some years now. I honestly can't even remember how or where we originally met, we both were just always in the same places at the same time. Well, maybe not exactly. Spree definitely spent a lot more time in the studio than me, Working with the likes of Esthero, Dallas Austin, Novel and a host of others over the years.
Make sure you check out Spree's new project "Life In Technicolor Vol. 1" And shouts to the homie Miya Bailey for hooking up the fresh visuals for the project.
Adam Yauch better known around the world as MCA from the Beastie Boys passed away one year ago (tomorrow) after fighting a battle with cancer for 3 years.
Today in Brooklyn Heights (Brooklyn, NY) Palmetto Playground was renamed to Adam Yauch Park after MCA. As Hip Hop started out in the parks of New York City it's pretty amazing to have a park named a rapper, especially in a fancy place like Brooklyn Heights. Would be great to see this open the door to other dedications, maybe we'll see a Scott La Rock park in the Bronx? Who knows.
