The Chicago Bulls will start training camp next week after a confusing offseason that left plenty of questions. Aside from the will they/won't they with Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic, the Bulls have a number of questions that will start to be answered next week. For now, they appear ready to go with the roster they have and I have questions.

Cunningham boasts 14 seasons of NFL experience, including the past five years with the Eagles. In Philadelphia, he served as director of college scouting (2017-18), assistant director of player personnel (2019-20) and director of player personnel (2021). Prior to joining the Eagles, Cunningham spent nine seasons with the Ravens as a player personnel assistant (2008-12) and area scout (2013-16). When Brady, widely considered the greatest quarterback in NFL history, left the field following the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' loss to the Los Angeles Rams last week, he knew it was likely his final act as a football player, sources said. In the days since, he has spent time digesting that mindset and is preparing his retirement announcement along with the next chapter of his life and career, sources said. Sources said that Brady's decision to retire is based on several factors, including family and health. While less significant, Brady also recognizes that the Buccaneers are likely to undergo significant roster turnover, sources said. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, they've hired Matt Eberflus, defensive coordinator for the Indianapolis Colts, as their new head coach. Eberflus, 51, is a football lifer, but has never been a head coach at any level until now. He started his career at the college level, working as an assistant at Toledo (his alma mater) and Missouri for 17 years before he came to the NFL. He was hired by the Cleveland Browns to be their linebackers coach in 2009, and after two seasons he moved on to the Dallas Cowboys, spending 7 years as their linebackers coach. Nikola Vucevic also scored 17 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, notching his fifth straight double-double and helping the Bulls win consecutive games for the first time since Jan. 7. "Hopefully the last two games can give us an opportunity to get better," Bulls coach Billy Donovan said. "God willing, our team stays the way it is with no more guys being out with COVID or injuries. There's a lot of things that we can learn from this and get better from. This is the opportunity for our team to really grow." Gary Trent Jr. led the Raptors with 32 points, while OG Anunoby added 23 points. Toronto has lost six of its last nine games. Alex DeBrincat added two third-period goals for the Blackhawks, who led 4-0 in the first period but twice allowed Detroit to get within one goal. DeBrincat's empty-netter with 1:43 remaining finally put the game away as Chicago ended a four-game winless drought. Dominik Kubalik, Sam Lafferty and Brandon Hagel also scored for Chicago. Robby Fabbri, Tyler Bertuzzi, Pius Suter, Moritz Seiter and Dylan Larkin scored for Detroit. Larkin banked in a shot off a goalpost to cut Chicago's lead to 6-5 with 4:35 left in the game. Now the wide receiver is talking about transferring his messy breakup with the franchise from the court of public opinion to an actual courtroom. That's what Brown and his lawyer, Sean Burstyn, suggested in an appearance on HBO's "Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel" that aired Tuesday night. The interview also featured a new allegation: that Tampa Bay offered Brown a $200,000 injury settlement in exchange for him sitting out the rest of the season and entering mental health treatment. While the slow starts are becoming an alarming theme the Avalanche just keep finding ways to win on the back of Pavel Francouz's second straight shutout and 16th consecutive win on home ice at Ball Arena. It was another slow start for the Avalanche as they fought the puck the entire first period and gave up a bunch of odd-man rushes off of turnovers. Luckily Pavel Francouz was up to the task and did not allow a puck past him which gave the Avalanche time to regroup. The Bulls led by 28 points in the third quarter, but the Thunder had a chance to tie it in the closing seconds. Oklahoma City's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander missed a 3-pointer that would have evened the score with 2.3 seconds to play. The Bulls were short-handed. DeMar DeRozan, who averages 26.3 points per game, rested. Lonzo Ball was out with a bruised left knee and Alex Caruso missed the game with a fractured wrist suffered when Milwaukee's Grayson Allen yanked him to the ground. Rookie Ayo Dosunmu scored a season-high 24 points and Zach LaVine added 23 for the Bulls.
