Juvenile injured after shooting in Lawrence

LAWRENCE, Ind. - An investigation is underway after a juvenile was injured in a shooting in Lawrence Sunday morning.




According to the Lawrence Police Department, just before 3:30 a.m., officers responded to the 5700 bock of Chensford Drive on the report of a person shot.




When officers arrived, they located a juvenile male with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital with life threatening injuries, according to police.




Investigators say the suspected shooter remained on scene and is cooperating with officers.




No other information was released. The incident remains under investigation.
