Sunnier and milder; 80° warmth soon to return

Off to a mainly clear and cooler start this Tuesday morning. Expect a great, brighter start, as dry weather has returned statewide. Be sure to have that light coat or hoodie for your kids at the bus stop.

This afternoon will bring a good amount of sunshine, lighter winds and milder temperatures. Highs later today should reach the lower 70s (average: 66°) with southwest winds at 5-10 mph.

A small shower chance exists tomorrow for our far northern counties along and near a boundary. Most of the state will stay dry, as warmer air continues to build in.

Our next decent shot of rain is set to arrive on Friday with a cold front passage before bringing slightly cooler air on Saturday but a dry weekend to enjoy.
