AT&T Says 75% Of Its Network Has Been Restored Following Hours-Long Outage, Public Reacts: 'Ain't Nobody Got Time For This Foolishness'

In the words of City Girls rapper JT, "Mwah, no bars."

Thousand of AT&T customers across the nation unfortunately woke up to no service. According to reports, the exact cause of the outage is still unknown. However, AT&T released a statement this morning claiming they were working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible

"Some of our customers are experiencing wireless service interruptions this morning. Our network teams took immediate action and so far three-quarters of our network has been restored. We are working as quickly as possible to restore service to remaining customers."

Reportedly, the outage, which severely affected major cities across the nation, started around 4 a.m. today (Feb. 22), impacting over 74,000 AT&T customers. Those who experienced the outage were reportedly unable to make or receive phone calls, text, and many even said that despite their phones having the ability to make emergency calls with no bars, they were surprisingly unable to do so. Of course, connecting to Wifi would have been a temporary solution, but many AT&T customers demanded that their full service be restored immediately.

One person on X wrote,

"I was stranded at 3am in the middle of Kansas City. I couldn't call for an Uber or a Taxi because my cellular service provider @ATT decided to take a break today. Aye, #att get it together or I'm taking my talents to the "can you hear me now " people."

Thankfully, after an hours-long outage, it looks like the problem was resolved for many. AT&T recently reported that 75% of its network had been restored thus far. In a follow-up statement, AT&T said,

"Our network teams took immediate action and so far three-quarters of our network has been restored. We are working as quickly as possible to restore service to remaining customers."

It's important to note that some users of Verizon, Boost Mobile, and T-Mobile also reported outages, however, the number impacted is said to be nowhere near what AT&T faced.
