This is a love poem about an experience the author had with a certain love of his life at one point in time. It is written in rhyming verses.
The main objective was never lovers being at war,
In fact you're still the witty pretty girl I saw,
But I treated you like dirt when you loved me more,
Then I tried to be nice when you loved no more,
You told me you can never trust but I do understand,
For the death of our love I see blood on my hands,
Hurt spread inside her body like bacterial strands,
It was kind of too late to be making amends,
She says she won't talk to me because I made her cry,
Maybe she'll listen to my songs soon after I die,
Then she'll know as I lived I repented and tried,
I knelt on the gravel and looked to the sky,
She never believed me, I understand why,
The love I expressed to her at first was a lie,
Now I bet she can't seem to trust other guys,
I pray she forgives me, consistently rise,
I bleed deep inside with no tears in my eyes,
If we never talk on Earth but see Paradise,
I'll be glad to meet you and it won't happen twice,
What I did in the beginning was not really nice,
Now I understand the meaning of a true sacrifice,
The importance of love, now I do realize,
That this life is a journey if we ever arrive,
Put aside all the torture that I gave you alive.

The Slayer is an African based independent hip-hop artist who started rapping at 14. He grew up in Zimbabwe and was inspired by local group, Major Players and internationally by gangsta rap artist 50 Cent. He has done one mixtape called Genesis Vol.1 whose tracks are available on a soundcloud account click here to get the music.
The Slayer is an indendent artist who works with his colleague Raheem King Tonhodzai. Both artists are now South Africa based because of work commitments. They push their music on their own through social media and independent artist blogs. They also burn and print a few CD's to carry around and sell the traditional way as they say it is a strategy that works in South Africa. The Slayer revealed that Raheem supported him with morale and financially through-out what he calls The Green Gang Project. He has also worked with The Crowne Prince and Kid, who happen to be his personal friends.
"I just think my music is for the people in the streets hustling and trying to make a living and am a lil bit trying also to make my music reach the whole Africa ,that's my target, " he said, when we asked him about his target market. This in my opinion will require a lot of hard work, both on the music production side and knowledge of industry. So I challenge The Slayer to keep pushing and be part of all forms of workshops in his area that better his craft and his management skills.
While he's at it, do take time to visit Green gang Project hulkshare and download their music. If you like what you hear, like and re-share. Comment on the music on the site itself.
