Nelly Celebrates 51st Birthday With Ashanti's Star-Studded Surprise Bash

Nelly rang in his 51st birthday with a lavish private dinner thrown by his wife, Ashanti, who transformed Atlanta's Lo Kee restaurant into a cozy celebration filled with Hip-Hop royalty and family.

The intimate gathering on Saturday (November 1) brought together 50 handpicked guests, including Bow Wow and Jermaine Dupri, at the upscale Asian fusion spot, Page Six reports.

Ashanti reserved a private room for the night and curated a menu featuring Beijing chicken, rock shrimp tempura, chicken satay and salt and pepper prawns.

The couple arrived around 10:30 P.M. and stayed until 1:30 A.M., capping off the night with a World Series watch party as the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 7.

Before the game, Ashanti serenaded her husband with "Happy Birthday," adding a personal touch to the evening.

The couple were captured later dressed in Halloween costumes for a second celebration.

The celebration marked another chapter in their rekindled relationship. Nelly and Ashanti quietly married in December 2023 in St. Louis, his hometown, after reconnecting earlier that year.

Their romance originally began in 2003 but ended in 2013, only to be reignited in April 2023 when they were spotted holding hands in Las Vegas.

Their renewed bond deepened when they welcomed their first child together, Kareem Kenkaide Hayes, in July 2024.

Kareem joined Nelly's two adult children, Chanelle, 31, and Cornell Haynes III, 26, from a previous relationship with Channetta Valentine.

Nelly recently returned the love on Ashanti's birthday with a touching Instagram post: "Happy Birthday to the most beautiful and amazing woman in this world.. Marrying you wasn't just finding love - it was finding home. Love you mama."
