Suge Knight Says Tupac's Homies Smoked Lates Rapper's Ashes After He Was Cremated

Anyone who's watched the Method Man and Redman cult classic comedy How High might recall how low-key disturbing, yet comedic it was to watch Method Man use the ashes of his dearly departed homie to create a new strand of weed that ended up being the backbone of the plot to the movie, but it seems like the ashes of the iconic Tupac Shakur actually met the same fate. Suge Knight has confirmed a long-standing rumor that Tupac's homies actually smoked his cremated remains after his passing.
According to TMZ, Suge Knight recently spoke to People for a recent interview and opened up about Tupac Shakur's final moments and what followed after his untimely passing. Revealing that Tupac's mother, Afeni Shakur, pressed him to have Tupac's body cremated immediately, Knight says he actually paid someone $1 million to cremate Tupac as soon as possible as the process of a cremation would take days to weeks. Once the deed was done, a bag of Tupac's ashes was given to Knight whom proceeded to pass it around to members of Tupac's rap group, The Outlawz, who took it and twisted parts of his remains into their weed blunts.
While we doubt Tupac appeared before them after smoking his remains a la Ivory (Chuck Deezy) in How High, we're sure they felt a little comfort knowing that a part of their homie would be with them forever...in their lungs anyway.
Unfortunately for Suge, he says he couldn't partake. He was on probation and didn't want to risk failing a drug test and ending up back in the bing.
TMZ reports:
The Death Row Records mogul says he was on probation at the time and told Tupac's mother he would love to smoke on Pac's remains but feared he would get in trouble if he took a hit.
While many would scoff at the idea of smoking the remains of their dead homie (we honestly wouldn't), Suge knew what it meant to Pac's closest brethren and wouldn't have changed a thing if given a second chance at the moment.
"You gotta understand, that's what made sense. It was symbolic. It's like... you keep part of him," Suge said.
We ain't mad at that.
